With the UA motto of ‘Plus Ultra’ shouted repeatedly throughout My Hero Academia, it is no wonder that the anime has some of the best fights ever portrayed on screen. But the series has also produced four movies in the past few years, with their own amazing combat sequences that deserve their time in the sun.
Class 1-A faced some of the worst Villains hero society has ever seen and demonstrated their shared camaraderie and excellent teamwork time and again. From facing deranged cultists to escaped convicts, here are some of the best fights from the My Hero Academia movies.

Daigo and Nobu vs Bakugo, Todoroki and Kirishima
My Hero Academia: Two Heroes
After Wolfram and his men shut down I-Island and infiltrate the I-Island Tower, Class 1-A are in a race against time to free the restrained All Might and undo the lockdown. While Midoriya and his friends attempt to get to the top of the Tower, Bakugo and Kirishima find themselves in a fight against Daigo and Nobu.
Although Kirishima was taken out of the fight early, Todoroki came swinging to back Bakugo up. With Daigo armed with a powerful Beast Form Quirk and Nobu with a Displacement Quirk, the duo have difficulties pinning either down. This was a fun fight to watch, with Bakugo trusting Todoroki enough to know what to do after he left his nitroglycerin-like sweat on Daigo’s palm.

Mummy vs Bakugo and Allies
My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
After being sent away to Nabu Island to gain hero work experience, the last thing Class 1-A thought they’d face was a group of ultra-dangerous Villains. Very quickly, the class was embroiled in one fight after another, and one of the earliest clashes was with the Villain Mummy.
Mummy can control his bandages and turn objects into his puppets. After capturing Bakugo with his bandages and restraining Kirishima and Kaminari with them, it seemed the fight was over for the Heroes. However, Bakugo utterly obliterated Mummy’s bandages by triggering his gauntlet, before going toe-to-toe with Mummy in close combat and ending things with a final, large explosion.

Slice Vs Tokoyami And Ashido
My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
With Class 1-A isolated from the rest of the world, they’re left to face Nine and his band of dangerous misfits alone. Tokoyami and Ashido band together, their classmates successfully luring Slice to a dark cave, the perfect environment for Tokoyami to unleash Dark Shadow.
Slice’s control over her Quirk and combat experience trumps Tokoyami and Ashido’s combined, and she dominates the fight at first. But the two worked together, using Ashido’s Acid Quirk to burn off Slice’s hair and limit her Quirk. However, Ashido becomes injured and Tokoyami loses control of his Quirk, Dark Shadow overpowering Slice. But it seems the battle ended in a draw, with Slice able to use the last bits of her Quirk to tear down the cave ceiling.

Nine Vs UA Students
My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
The entirety of Class 1-A came up with a plan to deal with Nine and his allies and protect the Kashimo kids. Momo and Aoyama successfully separate Nine from his allies and Sero and Uraraka dive in, hurling innumerable floating boulders Nine’s way.

Uraraka really shone in this fight, displaying how much she’d improved her control of her Quirk and truly going beyond her limits. Everyone embodied the Plus Ultra spirit, giving their all to stop Nine from advancing. Although Nine’s many Quirks gave him an edge over everyone, it was fantastic to see the level of teamwork and determination the class had to persevere.

Chimera Vs Todoroki, Iida, Tsuyu, And Kirishima
My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
Chimera was one of the most difficult opponents, second only to Nine. Not only was he extremely durable, but he was a brawler with more than one trick up his sleeve. After separating him from his comrades, Todoroki, Iida, Kirishima and Tsuyu cooked up a series of brilliant plans to deal with this walking tank.
At first, the UA students coated their hands and legs with Tsuyu’s mucus to paralyse Chimera. However, that didn’t work as Chimera suddenly powered up and shot a devastating laser beam that destroyed large portions of the forest. In one last-ditch attempt, Todoroki – with the rest serving as distractions – used his Ice Quirk and froze Chimera from the inside out, forcing the villain into hibernation.

Bakugo Vs Serpenters
My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission
A fight that’ll have you wincing and flinching at every turn, Bakugo faced the sinister Serpenters. Although Bakugo is skilled enough to fight two opponents at once, the Serpenters were a huge hurdle, as they powered up their Sword Kill Quirks using Trigger before they could be defeated.
Already injured from the first leg of the fight, Bakugo gradually received more injuries as the twins’ sharp blades sliced into his limbs. The twins are just as agile as Bakugo, who could barely damage them with his explosions. Intending to pin them down, Bakugo slams and traps them into the cave wall, before wiping them out with his ultra-improved Howitzer Impact.

Todoroki Shouto Vs Leviathan
My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission
One of the highlights of World Heroes’ Mission is that it sufficiently gives Class 1-A’s main powerhouses their time to shine. And Todoroki Shouto shone in his one-on-one fight against Leviathan. Todoroki has a mountain to climb in this clash, as Leviathan was under the effects of the Quirk-boosting drug Trigger.
Leviathan’s Helical Scythe Quirk allows him to extend and manipulate the drill-like tendrils on his horns and fingers. They were powerful enough to break through Todoroki’s ice and even caught him off guard as he attempted to drown Todoroki in the river. When all hope seemed lost, Todoroki tore a page out of his dad’s book, using his Jet Kindling move to incinerate Leviathan’s insides.
3
Deku Vs Flect Turn
My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission
Our main hero Deku seemed to struggle in this fight due to his enemy, cult leader, and terrorist Flect Turn’s, Quirk. The Villain’s Reflect Quirk allows him to reflect the attack and direct it back at his opponent, which pummelled Deku as his every punch and kick was thrown back at him.
However, Deku is known for his persevering spirit, and to buy Rody Soul time to stop the worldwide bomb, repeatedly gets back up to fight again. Flect Turn believed there was no limit to his Quirk, but due to Deku’s relentless, powerful attacks, he was able to overcome Flect Turn’s Quirk and crush him completely.

Deku And All Might Vs Wolfram
My Hero Academia: Two Heroes
In the final showdown for the first movie, Two Heroes, All Might and his mentee, Deku, team up to stop Wolfram for good. With the combination of David Shield’s Quirk Amplification Device and a Muscle Augmentation Quirk from All For One, Wolfram was a difficult opponent for both Deku and All Might to face alone.
But as with Heroes Rising, two One For All users are better than one. With the help of Class 1-A, All Might and Deku treat us to a fast-paced, highly emotional clash, a symbolic move where All Might has truly passed on the torch to Deku.
1
Bakugo And Deku Vs Nine
Heroes Rising
The best fight ever depicted in all four movies, the last showdown in Heroes Rising has it all, from emotional highs to high-octane combat scenes. With the rest of Class 1-A injured and out of the count, all that remains are Bakugo and Deku to take down Nine.
With his cadre of overpowered Quirks, Nine nearly defeated Deku and Bakugo. Left with no other options, Deku made the snap, twist decision to share One For All with Bakugo. With two One For All users now on the battlefield, the two Hero students utterly destroy the rapidly weakening Nine, the transferrable Quirk powering up Bakugo’s Explosion Quirk to new heights and gifting us with a truly cinematic fight.
