How to Get Stern Belt

How to Get Stern Belt

There are countless mystical and adorable items to find in the world of Infinity Nikki that all, in some way, contribute to Nikki’s journey of becoming the top stylist in Miraland. The neverending pursuit of fashion has kept much of the player community enthralled since the game’s fantastically successful release in December 2024. To keep filling up that wardrobe, however, it’s important to keep collecting various crafting materials as well, and some are more challenging to get than others.

One such material that remains elusive until later in Infinity Nikki is Stern Belts. If you find yourself in need of these for your crafting endeavors, you’ll need to know how to get them first.

How to Get Stern Belt in Infinity Nikki

Stern Belts are a substantially rare crafting item in Infinity Nikki found exclusively in one region of the game – the Wishing Woods. This means that in order to be able to gather Stern Belts you’ll first need to progress far enough into the main story questline until you at least reach Chapter 6. At that point, you’ll get formally introduced to the fabled homeland of the Faewish Sprites, a new shrinking ability, and be able to explore a region full of new items and materials.

Once you have full access to all of the Wishing Woods, to get Stern Belts you’ll need to seek out groups of aggressive Esselings that are usually found guarding high-value items such as chests, Whimstars, or Dews of Inspiration. While not every group will have them, the specific type of Esseling that drops Stern Belts is the Harsh Sssack. These are ones that resemble snakes and they can fire dark essence projectiles, so be careful upon approaching them.

Also, make sure that they’re snake-type Esselings whose body resembles a black belt with buckles, not the ones with blue sashes. These are two different types and the latter will not drop Stern Belts. This rule applies to other Esselings as well such as Bitey Bags that drop the Bitey Fabric material.

Similar to gathering nodes in the game, Esselings will automatically respawn upon each daily server reset, so you can return to those same areas and farm more Stern Belts if needed. Granted there are only a handful of spots in the Wishing Woods where Harsh Sssacks spawn, as indicated on the map above, so make sure to explore the region thoroughly. The node furthest to the east in the Wishing Woods is actually inside of a cavern. In there you can find two to three Harsh Sssacks.

Also, while it does apply to most other crafting materials in the game, materials derived from Esselings cannot be pinpointed via the Map’s tracking feature.

However, one other method to obtain Stern Belts that can be easily overlooked when comes to farming any materials in Infinity Nikki is the Dig, Pear-Pal feature. This incredibly reliable tool allows you to passively “dig” for up to four different materials at once, every 24 hours. As long as you’ve gathered at least one Stern Belt, it will automatically become available in Dig, Pear-Pal.

From the item menu on the left side, select the banner icon with an exclamation point (“!”), which will display all the Esseling-type materials you can “dig” for. Select Stern Belt, and for a small bit of Bling you can collect up to 5 x Stern Belts in 24 hours doing this. Keeping your Dig, Pear-Pal constantly working is highly recommended, no matter what kind of materials you need. Just be aware that this feature won’t gather Essence or provide Insight points, it only provides the base material itself.
