Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins
A Game Boy Classic
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Super Mario Land 2 is considered the definitive Mario game on Game Boy. Not only does this have Mario saving his own kingdom for a change, but it also introduces Wario for the first time. However, to get back into his castle, Mario must collect six golden coins scattered across the land.
While considered one of the easiest Mario games, it offers plenty of unique locations, such as a Halloween-inspired village, the Moon, and even the belly of a whale. As it already has a unique art design, a remake would allow each set piece to shine even brighter.

Donkey Kong 64
Donkey Kong’s 3D Adventure
Donkey Kong 64 is such an interesting piece of history for the lovable ape. It’s the only Donkey Kong title to have 3D gameplay with plenty of collectibles to boot. There are blueprints, golden bananas, medals, fairies, and so much more. It can be a bit overwhelming.
Regardless, Donkey Kong 64 has a special place in the hearts of gamers with the DK Rap being one of the most repeatable songs. A remake could polish out some of the less favorable features while giving the title a more modernized feel. It’s time for the DK Crew to come home.

Earthbound
Dogs, Psychics, And Aliens
The Nintendo Switch era had plenty of remakes where much was left intact, with the exception of a stylized graphical bump. If anyone knows how to keep the playful spirit of a classic, it’s Nintendo. Earthbound is one of those titles that could benefit from a Mario RPG-tyle bump into the modern era.
Earthbound already has a unique look to it with many battles taking place in suburbia. A remake could also act as a fresh start to the series, allowing players to experience the story once more.

Viewtiful Joe may not be Nintendo’s long-lost series, but it sure is Capcom’s. With the rise in popularity of Tokusatsu in the west, Viewtiful Joe is the perfect addition to the list of games that need a remake on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Duck Hunt
A Light Gun Adventure
Duck Hunt is one of the original NES titles. The main gimmick however, revolved around using the light gun to hit ducks and targets on the screen. Miss too many times and the dog will laugh at you. Both the dog and the duck from this game made appearances in Smash Bros Ultimate.
If any game could make a remake work while also adding more content on top of what already existed, it’s Duck Hunt. The simple premise lends itself to plenty of opportunities to incorporate the Switch 2’s motion controls.
5
Yoshi’s Safari
An Obscure Yoshi Game
The SNES had many different add-on toys that worked with specific games. One such is the Super Scope, which acts as a blaster. This is the only Mario game to act as a first-person-shooter, with Mario blasting enemies while riding Yoshi.

Pokemon Black & White
The Most Ambitious Pokemon Game On DS
Pokemon remakes are always welcome, even if they don’t always include every feature from the special editions. With the Sinnoh games out of the way and the series headed back to Kalos, the next big remakes players are expecting is a return to the Black and White games.
Pokemon Black & White pushed the boundaries of the Nintendo DS with some of the liveliest sprites in the series’ history. It also enhanced the look of each town, making each city feel more inhabited than ever before.

Tomodachi Life
Let The Mii’s Return
Tomodachi Life
Nintendo’s Miis have a unique charm to them since they can be shaped to look just like the user and interact with other players. Tomodachi Life gave these Miis more to do by giving them their own little world to inhabit.
You can feed them, make friends, and even find romance along the way, which will result in other Miis being produced. The more you allow them to interact, the more goodies you unlock, such as more customization options and decorations for their apartments.
