Summary

  • A new Echo preset feature may be coming to Wuthering Waves in Version 2.1.
  • Using the new feature, players will be able to save up to 20 Echo loadouts, compare stats, and equip presets more quickly.
  • 5-star characters Phoebe and Brant will be joining the playable roster in the next update.

A recent Wuthering Waves leak has revealed that an Echo preset feature will be coming to the RPG in Version 2.1. The debut of Rinascita introduced several new Echoes in Wuthering Waves, giving players more options when building characters.

Similar to Genshin Impact‘s Artifacts, Echoes in Wuthering Waves are gear that can enhance a character’s power in combat. Farming for Echoes can be quite time-consuming and players can collect several unusable duplicates before achieving an Echo with their desired Stats. Moreover, when building a new character, assembling a new Echo set can be quite a hassle. Fans have long asked for a feature that would make creating Echo sets easier, and it seems developers have listened, according to a new leak.

What to Expect From Wuthering Waves in 2025

2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for Kuro Games’ open-world gacha Wuthering Waves, and this is what players can expect from the game this year.

Prominent Wuthering Waves leaker Naruse has shared screenshots of a new Echo preset feature that will potentially launch with Version 2.1. Per the leak, the feature lets players save up to 20 of their characters’ Echo loadouts. Fans would also be able to compare the stats and costs of different presets. The report supports an earlier leak by SeeleLeaks that revealed how players could save their Echo presets for a current character and customize the build name. Once the preset is saved, it can be equipped with a different Resonator more quickly. The 20 slots are shared by all Resonators, though, so players would have to delete some presets if they reach the limit. With the release of Rinascita, Wuthering Waves fans began farming Nightmare Echoes, so a feature to organize their new builds could come in handy.

Wuthering Waves Leaks Reveal Upcoming Echo Preset Feature

Some of the most powerful Echoes in Wuthering Waves, like the Nightmare Crownless, can greatly buff a Resonator’s build. Rinascita introduced around 40 new Echoes, with some shaking up the game’s meta. Version 2.1 is expected to launch around mid-February and the patch will likely add even more Echoes.

Earlier in January, Wuthering Waves revealed two new 5-star characters for the next update. Phoebe and Brant will be joining the playable roster, which leaves Zani as the last major Rinascita character in line. Earlier leaks have pointed at some surprise characters named Cantarella and Katixiya debuting in-game in upcoming updates. There are also rumors that Wuthering Waves will eventually make Phrolova playable during the 2.0 cycle while the main character will acquire a new Element, potentially Aero. Of course, leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, and players should wait for an official announcement from the developers.
