Assassin’s Creed schedules a crossover with Reverse: 1999 for 2025, bringing Assassin’s Creed 2 and Odyssey content to the mobile RPG.

Since she’s pretty versatile to use, she’s a great option for players to wish on should they want to increase their roster of Reverse: 1999 characters. She not only debuffs enemies, but she can also apply crowd control, follow-up attacks, and work as a decent Sub DPS for any team you have. This guide will cover how timekeepers can effectively build Anjo Nala to make sure she’s used to the best of her ability.

Anjo Nala’s Skills, Explained – Reverse: 1999

Anjo Nala Skills, Explained - Reverse_ 1999

Anjo Nala’s skills are pretty straightforward and quite easy to understand for a versatile Sub DPS character. She works exceptionally well in not only normal teams, but also Neg Status teams, as her damage output is increased in those. Her entire gameplay is based on her ability to make a contract with her teammates. Every time you enter a battle, you will be asked to choose which teammate to make a contract with. This contract results in a stat boost for the ally AND Anjo Nala, lasting the entire fight until the contractor dies and a new contract is formed.

Unfortunately, she does scrap off some HP when casting her skill on the contractor, so you will need to manage that with a healer on the team. Her Ultimate DMG is what players need to keep an eye on because her gameplay becomes quite overpowered at that point. Her DMG already deals 500% Mental DMG (which is exceptionally high for most characters), and with every additional debuff added, her Ultimate gains an increased 60% DMG. This means that stacking debuffs on any enemy further increases her DMG output, making her potential DPS material.

Best Psychubes For Anjo Nala In Reverse: 1999

Anjo Nala Best Psychubes - Reverse_ 1999

Like most Reverse: 1999 characters, her signature Psychube is usually the best one players should obtain. For Anjo Nala, that’s Transcendent Love, a 6-star Psychube that enhances not only her critical abilities but also her synergy with her teammates. When she casts her skill under the channeling state, her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are increased for both her and her contracted ally. Her damage boosting potential is astronomical with this Psychube, and if players are looking to maximize her Support or Sub DPS abilities, this is the best one to obtain.

Other alternatives you can use on her are the 6-star Psychcubes, Same Old Story and Blasphemer of Night. Same Old Story boosts Anjo Nala’s effectiveness as a Beast character by buffing her penetration rate by 5% and damage dealt by 28%. Quite frankly, since this Psychube is great for breaking through enemy defenses, it’s the next best thing when it comes to a 6-star Psychube for her. If you want to put Anjo Nala in a negative effects team, the Blasphemer of Night is your best option for a 6-star Psychube. It basically boosts her damage against enemies with debuffs and allows her to take advantage by exploiting status effects.

The final choice would be the 5-star Psychube, Yearning Desire, and it works similar to the Blasphemer of Night. The Psychube boosts Anjo Nala’s damage by 16% when she’s around enemies affected by the debuff status or status reductions. If you want to maximize her potential in support and sub dps teams, this is a great choice as it goes perfectly with her ability to exploit enemy weaknesses.

Best Team Compositions For Anjo Nala In Reverse: 1999

Anjo Nala Best Team Compositions - Reverse_ 1999

If you’re building Anjo Nala as a Sub DPS, which is the position she excels at, make sure to slot her in teams where she can bring out her abilities. Despite this, she does pair pretty well with most characters due to her versatility, but there are some characters she can do exceptionally well fighting alongside.

Anjo Nala, Jiu Niangzi, 37, And Kakania

Anjo Nala + Jiu Niangzi + 37 + Kakania

This team will be your standard follow-up attack team as having Jiu can greatly trigger this effect for Anjo Nala and 37. It’s also the best option against mass-target bosses, and with Kakania in the team, it provides Anjo Nala with the support she needs to effectively use her skills.

Anjo Nala, Mercuria, Argus, And Tooth Fairy

Anjo Nala + Mercuria + Argus + Tooth Fairy

Quite frankly, Mercuria is a top tier support for Anjo Nala, and if you have her, it would work wonders for any battle you go into. The two of them work really well together as Mercuria provides Anjo Nala with the buffs she needs to improve her overall damage output in the game. It’s a great synergistic partnership, and with Tooth Fairy’s debuff attributes on enemies, Anjo Nala’s damage output is further increased. Argus or any other tank that you have is great for defense as well, so just make sure you have a character with protective abilities if you cannot acquire Argus.

Anjo Nala, Lucy, 6, And Tooth Fairy

Anjo Nala + Lucy + 6 + Tooth Fairy

If you’re a Lucy main and looking to invest in a great sub DPS for your team, Anjo Nala is by far the best you can get. With 6’s debuff strategies, Anjo Nala can bind or even work as a double DPS set with Lucy to deal excellent damage. It’s a very good team against single-target enemies. If players do not have characters like 6, they can switch to either Kakania or Mercuria. In this team, Tooth Fairy will mainly play her role as a healer, but you can also use her to debuff as well, depending on the strategy. However, if you don’t have Lucy, Lilya or J work just as well.

Notable Characters To Pair With Anjo Nala

Honestly, Anjo Nala opens up limitless team opportunities, but these are just some that will help you navigate through the harder fights in the game. Here are some other characters you can try out with her:

  • Spathodea
  • Isolde
  • Shamane
  • Marcus
