WoW Plunderstorm was introduced in 2024, with the first event taking place between March 19 and May 1 for a total of six weeks. WoW Plunderstorm 2025 end date
The Plunderstorm game mode in World of Warcraft went live on January 14 and is set to end on February 18, lasting a total of six weeks.
Blizzard has made several tweaks to the game mode this year, including the ability to choose which area you land in, improved reward ratios, and the inclusion of an in-game store rather than a reward track.
How to play Plunderstorm
Unlike a lot of other World of Warcraft events, Plunderstorm is splintered off from the main game, forcing you to create a brand-new character to play the battle royale game mode. Don’t worry if you don’t have the latest expansions, all you need is an active World of Warcraft subscription.
Here’s what you need to do to play Plunderstorm in World of Warcraft:
- Ensure you have an active World of Warcraft subscription before attempting to play.
- When you reach the character select menu in World of Warcraft, click the ‘Mode’ button at the top of the screen and switch to Plunderstorm.
- Create a Plunderstorm character.
- Choose between ‘Practice’, ‘Solo’ and ‘Duos’. Be warned that you will not be able to earn Plunder unless you play against real opponents outside the ‘Practice’ mode.
- If you want to play with a friend in ‘Duos’, invite them using the ‘Invite Friend’ button on the left side of the screen.
And that’s all you need to know about the Plunderstorm end date. While your Plunderstorm character is unique to this game mode, the Plunderstorm rewards you earn will be available in both the classic and retail versions of World of Warcraft.
