Summary
- Pirate Software was kicked from the OnlyFangs guild after causing Hardcore deaths due to a botched Dire Maul North run.
- Pirate Software refused to take blame for the deaths, leading to his removal from OnlyFangs by GM Sodapoppin.
Pirate Software has been kicked out of the World of Warcraft streamer guild known as OnlyFangs after a botched Dire Maul North run. Dire Maul was recently added to the World of Warcraft Anniversary servers, and it’s already responsible for some OnlyFangs Hardcore deaths.
Before World of Warcraft officially added Hardcore servers to its Classic client, gamers were making their own rules regarding zero-death runs. Blizzard released Hardcore servers in August 2023, which decreased in popularity until the Anniversary servers were added in November 2024. These Anniversary servers breathed new life into World of Warcraft Classic, causing the original Classic servers to have a low population. Since their addition to the Blizzard server lineup, countless Hardcore players have died, while some have made it to level 60 with the limitations. Among the latest World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore deaths are Sara and Snupy, and Sodapoppin has banned the player responsible from OnlyFangs.

As confirmed by multiple social media posts, Pirate Software has been kicked out of OnlyFangs by Guild Master Sodapoppin who released a Discord statement regarding his removal. According to the Discord message, a majority of the guild members felt uncomfortable playing with Pirate Software after two members died during a World of Warcraft Classic Dire Maul North run. The OnlyFangs Dire Maul North group started running after getting aggro on a boss before defeating a pack of Gordok ogres. After a party member called for the group to run out of the dungeon and reset these enemies, Pirate Software abandoned the group while escaping. Although he could have remained in the guild under normal OnlyFangs rules, Pirate Software decided to double down on his decisions that led to the death of Sara and Snupy. All of this can be seen here, but the video includes some strong language.
This is Why Pirate Software Was Kicked From the World of Warcraft Guild OnlyFangs
The key criticism is that Pirate Software wouldn’t take any blame for the two Hardcore deaths after not using crowd control abilities effectively. During a review of the dungeon run, popular Twitch streamer Sodapoppin pointed out that he could’ve used Blizzard rank 1 to slow down the deadly enemies without burning through too much mana. OnlyFangs members like Mizkif have suggested that Pirate Software was kicked from the guild for making threats to fellow streamers following the Dire Maul run. Pirate Software responded to his removal from Only Fangs on Twitter where he suggested that the situation wasn’t handled properly.
As many OnlyFangs members have been kicked since the guild was recreated on the Anniversary server Doomhowl, some of them may go on to make their own group. With Blizzard updating World of Warcraft Classic with Vanilla-accurate patches, there may be even more OnlyFangs deaths as new dungeons and raids are added.
