Since then, not much has been heard about it, until now. But, with the return now edging closer, fans recently got another update that excites them to no end for what is to come in Part 2 of the Egghead Island arc.
The Major One Piece Anime Announcement
The Voice Actors Are Working On The New Episodes
As fans know, the One Piece anime is currently on a break. That break happened during the Egghead arc, and instead of the usual anime, the Fishman Island arc remastered version began airing.
Despite that long break, however, a major announcement was made ahead of the anime’s eventual return. The voice actors of the Straw Hat Pirates, and a few other characters, have returned to voice-act their respective roles. Pictures of them were posted on social media, and can be seen right here:

The voice actors going back into the studio to record for new episodes being produced is great news. This means that the episodes are currently in production, and everyone is working on finishing them. This doesn’t shock fans, given that the anime was never truly stopping production anyway. It’s just that things were eased off.
When Will The One Piece Anime Return?
The Anime Returns April 6, 2025
Fans can be assured that much of the hiatus for the One Piece anime has already passed, but there is still a wait ahead. The One Piece anime is scheduled to make its return in April of this year, specifically on April 6, 2025. The break started back on October 27, 2024. Overall, the anime will take a 6-month break.

With the anime being on break, fans of the series can rewatch the already existing episodes on Crunchyroll. They can also check out the remastered version of the Fishman Island arc, which is currently airing every week.
