Black Ops 6 Zombies is shaping up to be a great entry in the overall Zombies saga, bringing round-based gameplay back in a climactic way. While players may still be progressing through Liberty Falls or attempting to escape Terminus Island, Citadelle Des Morts offers an additional adventure by progressing through its main quest.
Citadelle Des Morts’ main Easter Egg quest may be one of the most cryptic to date, even with the added help provided in Directed Mode. Once players have gathered all the incantations by completing a series of four rituals, they will be tasked with using the swords and incantations on the knights in the order indicated in the Undercroft Stairway, a somewhat misleading step. Here is how to complete it.

How To Use Swords & Incantations On The Knights In The Order Indicated in The Undercroft Stairway
Figuring Out The Order
Before players can use the swords and incantations on the knights, they must first head to the Undercroft Stairway (accessible via the Alchemical Lab) to determine the correct order. In the Undercroft Stairway, players will notice four symbols on the stairway wall, each marked with Roman numerals.
These symbols indicate the order in which players must use the swords and incantations on the knights to complete this step of the main quest. Each symbol corresponds to one of the knights in the Dining Hall, who bear the same symbols on their armor. While the order can change with each game of Citadelle Des Morts, deciphering it is relatively straightforward thanks to the Roman numerals.
Activating The Knights
Once players have deciphered the order, they can head to the Dining Hall to activate the knight statues. To do this, players must use the correct incantation and then inspect the sword on the knight to which each elemental sword and incantation belongs, following the order specified on the Undercroft Stairway. Players will know a knight is activated when it salutes the player and begins to glow.
Below is a breakdown of how we completed this step in the order we were given:
- Dragon Knight: Use the Fire Incantation on the knight, then inspect the Caliburn Sword.
- Lion Knight: Use the Light Incantation on the knight, then inspect the Solais Sword.
- Stag Knight: Use the Electric Incantation on the knight, then inspect the Durendal Sword.
- Raven Knight: Use the Dark Incantation on the knight, then inspect the Balmung Sword.
All incantations are located within the Dining Hall in their own boxes for players to equip, taking up the Tactical Equipment slot in their inventory. Once all the knights have been activated in the correct order, an Orb will appear in the center of the Dining Hall, allowing players to progress to the next step of the quest.
