Golden Mystery Boxes
are a, well… golden version of the Mystery Box. Once you claim Foraging Mastery, you’ll be able to find this version around the valley. Golden Mystery Boxes can be obtained in a similar manner (excluding some set locations).

If you have Foraging Mastery, you’ll also have around a three percent chance to obtain five golden boxes from Skull Cavern treasure chests.

Golden Mystery Boxes hold all the same things as a typical Mystery Box with two exceptions. The gold version will also contain the Golden Animal Cracker
and an Auto-Petter
.

Mystery Boxes can be opened by Clint

If you have your own Geode Crusher
, you can open Mystery Boxes on your farm whenever you feel like it! You can learn the recipe for this piece of equipment by completing Cave Patrol, which is a special order from Clint.
