Ever since the release of the first trailer in 2023, fans have come up with plenty of wild theories for Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer. One of the most popular theories to come about revolved around the number 27. It was sparked after a Rockstar Games employee posted a picture of exclusive merch from the studio with a notepad that had a series of numbers that added up to 27. Fans then went into a frenzy and began noticing the number appearing everywhere, with Rockstar seemingly even getting in on the fun and only having 27 posts on its Instagram account. Many believed this was pointing to a December 27 reveal, but the community was once again left disappointed when no news was shared.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Fans Come Up With New Theory for Trailer 2
With numerous theories being debunked in the year since its reveal trailer, GTA fans have yet another prediction for Grand Theft Auto 6‘s second trailer. In a new post on Reddit, user Cxlvno pointed out that Take-Two Interactive’s (the parent company of Rockstar Games) next quarterly earnings call will take place on Thursday, February 6. While this might not seem like much to some, Rockstar has been known to share important news and announcements just before a Take-Two earnings call to please stakeholders. But what gives this theory a little more credibility is that the license plate in Grand Theft Auto 6‘s official key art includes “F6.”
A plethora of different Grand Theft Auto 6 theories have been debunked in the past, so fans should still take this one with a pinch of salt, as Rockstar is not a company that can be predicted easily. But, with that being said, this is the longest the studio has ever gone without revealing some form of news, screenshot, or trailer. As of writing, it has been 408 days since the internet-breaking trailer was released. In that time, no news has been shared by Rockstar Games on the upcoming title, whereas Grand Theft Auto 5 went 378 days between trailers and had screenshots shared in that time period.
The long wait has led to fans clamoring for any piece of information they can get from Rockstar, and while there has been nothing official shared, a new leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 image from 2021 did surface online earlier this month. Although the image was four years old, it did not appear online during the massive leak back in September 2022. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to be taken from the leak, as it appeared to be taken inside Rockstar Games’ offices and simply showed Lucia standing next to a brick wall.
