Fortnite Kong and Mecha Godzilla are coming soon.
The metaverse is about to be populated by a few Kaiju Titans. The Monsterverse is filled with so many iconic characters, and a few of them are set to hit the island for Chapter 6 Season 1.
Godzilla was already revealed as part of the battle pass, and the giant lizard is also set to make its debut. With the arrival of the characters on the island, skins are set to populate the Item Shop as well. Before Kong and Mecha Godzilla even arrived, a first look was leaked very early.

Fortnite Kong and Mecha Godzilla Leak Early
It has been leaked for a while that Kong and Mecha Godzilla were also coming to Fortnite. Now, we have a first look at what the skins actually look like thanks to leaker ShiinaBR. To no one’s surprise, they’re very similar in aesthetic to the Godzilla skin. Mecha Godzilla has a face similar to Godzilla’s model but it’s all metal. Kong features his arm brace from Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire, a film that came out last year.
Each skin also has its own back bling. Mecha Godzilla has a mechanized back bling with energy coming out, and Kong has one that matches his arm brace. Fittingly, the giant monkey also gets his battle axe from the last two films in the franchise. The other is a metal pickaxe that becomes part of Mecha Godzilla’s arm in that locker setup.
Finally, there is also an emote that fits well with Kong. It involves the arm brace mechanizing and shaping to your skin’s wrist, so it would work perfectly with Kong. However, it was shown off with the other Monsterverse skin, so it’s not a built-in emote. Each character also gets a weapon wrap and car skin with stickers to customize your vehicle for the Monsterverse.
These are all leaks, but the Monsterverse collaboration is all but confirmed for this Friday. On that day, these skins will drop along with their cosmetics, and Kong and Godzilla will become bosses on the island. Godzilla will also be available through the Battle Pass.
