Another campaign has hit eFootball 2025, and this time, the game celebrates the new year in style. Alongside the v4.2.1, which adds little to nothing to the game, we also have the Lunar New Year campaign update arriving, as the football title brings more themed players and rewards for its players. Let me explain in detail what’s arriving this Thursday with the game.

Lunar New Year campaign

Speaking about the v4.2.1 update, it isn’t any big, it was just a patch to fix an ongoing issue. This update fixes a bug where duplicate entries of an unavailable player appeared in My Team. The issue occurred when navigating Card Type and selecting both Standard and Unavailable Player, which has been fixed for now.

The Lunar New Year Campaign arrives offering new rewards and challenges. You can earn a special Manchester United player as a login bonus and collect Select Booster Tokens, along with other development items, by completing campaign objectives. If you ask me, the players aren’t very attractive and carry a low rating, in fact might not get into most of our teams even as a sub, but we move.

During the campaign, you’ll receive a Chance Deal for the Manchester United Highlight pack as a login bonus, which will be available in your inbox until February 13, 2025. Starting January 23, 2025, additional objectives will offer rewards such as Select Booster Tokens, more Manchester United Chance Deals, a themed avatar set, eFootball Coins, training programs, EXP, and GP.

You can also participate in special events like the Legend: English Clubs All-Star Challenge like last time, and the English League Champions Tour Event, where you can earn rewards by collecting Event Points. Additionally, a Lunar New Year-inspired strip will be available in the Shop for a limited time, so don’t miss out on adding a festive touch to your squad.

New Epic, Club, and POTW Packs

As expected, we have some costly packs coming up with the arrival of the Milan version of Kaka, who gets the Momentum Dribbling show time skill. Two other epics include Pavel Nedved with Visionary Pass skill and Guti. There are again featured cards alongside them. Kaka must sell like hotcakes, given how impressive his player ID in the game is.

Given Manchester United is featured in the Lunar New Year campaign, we also have the Club Pack coming to the game. With Double Booster Ruben Amorim with Quick Counter proficiency, we have 11 players available as well. I will purchase the pack and drop a review, so keep an eye out on the site.

On the other hand, Raphinha gets a decent card this time, as he comes in the POTW pack as a booster card with the Hole Player playstyle. I recommend getting him as given his performance, he will stay in A or B form for most of this season.
