Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path Wish List

Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Star Paths are regular events where players can complete tasks to earn special Tokens and exchange them for exclusive themed rewards. Rewards typically consist of clothing items, furniture, Motifs, Companion animals, and Dream Styles for the many Disney and Pixar characters residing in the Valley. Disney Dreamlight Valley typically runs multiple Star Paths per year, and has recently begun experimenting with the format – the Winter 2024 Star Path, “Frost and Fairies,” offered more challenging tasks and additional bonus rewards. With 2025’s first Star Path still unannounced, here are some rewards and themes that would be great to see in upcoming Paths.

Though it may be one of the most iconic simulation games of all time, Animal Crossing may want to take inspiration from Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Dream Styles For Non-Mickey And Friends Characters

Dream Styles are alternate outfits for the Valley’s residents, and most Star Paths include a Dream Style or two. However, the Mickey and Friends characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Scrooge) receive Dream Styles more frequently than any other characters. Even the “Dapper Delights” Star Path, themed entirely around Princess Tiana, had a Dream Style not for the restaurateur herself, but for Donald Duck. It would be nice to see Dream Styles for other characters, especially those who have been in the game since launch and still have no Dream Styles, such as Moana, Maui, Remy, Kristoff, and Prince Eric.

Wings And Gliders

In 2024, Disney Dreamlight Valley introduced the ability to move around quickly either by gliding or flying. Players can use Glider or Wing clothing items to do this. Because of the popularity of this new feature, more gliders and wings as Star Path rewards would be a great addition. A new Glider would be particularly nice, as most Gliders are currently found in the Premium Shop and require Moonstones to purchase.

More Companions, Especially New Animals

There’s no better way for players to complete quests and duties in Dreamlight Valley than with an adorable animal companion at their side. Most Star Paths feature one new Companion, usually based on a type of existing critter in Disney Dreamlight Valley with squirrels, rabbits, and raccoons being particularly popular. More unique Companions, such as the Pirate Parrot, would likely be well-received. Existing creatures from Disney and Pixar would be especially fun, like the mice from Cinderella or Antonio’s animal friends from Encanto.

House Styles

The “Frost and Fairies” Star Path did something completely new by adding a wintry House Style as the final and most expensive bonus reward. This is definitely something that Gameloft should continue implementing in future updates. Having a big reward to work towards at the end is extremely motivating for players, and having multiple houses is practically a necessity, especially with the introduction of Floating Islands to decorate. There’s no place like home – but nothing’s to say players can’t have multiple homes all around the Valley.

Cooking And Crafting Stations

While players can make as many cooking and crafting stations as they want, making even one is pretty resource-intensive – and it’s good to have plenty of stations around the Valley, especially as many quests, Star Path Duties, and other tasks require them. Both the Mulan-themed “Majesty and Magnolias” Star Path and the “Frost and Fairies” Star Path included crafting and cooking stations that players could purchase using tokens, no resources required. Future Star Paths should definitely continue to include them, especially as more paid expansions and Floating Islands are added.

Fewer Motifs

There’s a lot that players want to see more of in Star Path – more cool outfits, more adorable Animal Companions, more fun Dream Styles. But one thing players have consistently requested to see less of is motifs. Motifs are images that can be used to decorate custom clothing and furniture via the Touch of Magic system in DDV. While making a custom outfit or two is certainly fun, the sheer number of motifs present in each Star Path can be tiring, especially as they take up space that could be used for clothing or furniture instead.

Money is a crucial part of the game, and it can be gained through various ways, like selling items.

General Star Path Wishes

More Duty Variation

All Star Paths are by nature a little bit repetitive, with Duties involving common tasks around the Valley like mining, fishing, and spending time with villagers. However, this trend has gotten worse in recent Star Paths. Since the addition of DreamSnaps photo contests and Daisy Duck’s Boutique Challenges, both activities have shown up repeatedly in every Star Path. Boutique Challenges are particularly frustrating, as players can complete only one per day, and tasks requiring two or three slow Star Path progress significantly.

While it’s hard to add too much variety with the limited number of activities available, adding in some new Duties could be fun. Players could be tasked to dress like a princess or villain, equip specific animal companions, glide or fly around the Valley for a certain amount of time, eat meals of a specific color, or redecorate a room in their home. Gameloft should not be afraid to get creative with Duties in upcoming Star Paths, rather than relying on the same handful of tasks.

Love For Under-Represented Films And Shows

Typically, Star Paths are themed around either a time of year, such as Halloween or winter, or around the characters added to the game at the same time – like how 2024’s “Love and Monsters” Star Path honored Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc. However, Star Paths would be a great opportunity to show some love for less popular Disney and Pixar films and shows, especially those not otherwise represented in Dreamlight Valley.

The “Pixar Fest” and “Wonder of Pixar” Star Paths did this somewhat, with accessories based around Coco, Up, and The Incredibles. Future Star Paths could take inspiration from this with clothing and furniture based on under-represented films like Atlantis and Treasure Planet, TV shows like those of the Disney Afternoon, or even Marvel, Star Wars, and other Disney-owned properties.
