  • Dragon Quest X Offline is a network-based, turn-based RPG that was initially launched in September 2022 on consoles and PC.
  • This offline mobile version boasts enhanced graphics, improved game balance, and exclusive original episodes not included in the online version.
  • Square Enix has announced that there are currently no plans for a global release yet.

SQUARE ENIX Co.,Ltd. has announced the release of their beloved RPG, Dragon Quest X Offline, now available on both Android and iOS in Japan for approx $17.99 (¥2,800), with a limited-time discount of $12.5 (¥1,960). Developed by B.B. Studio, the game also brings the expansion, The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Ally, priced at ¥2,400, with a discounted price of ¥1,920.

You can now enjoy the captivating story of Dragon Quest completely offline

Dragon Quest X Offline is a turn-based RPG, that delivers a single-player experience based on the MMORPG, Dragon Quest X. The game is set in Astoltia, a vast world comprising five continents and numerous islands, where you can embark on an exciting adventure with your companions, to save the world plagued by demons.

While there is no indication of the game launching in other regions yet, I hope they do so as I am thrilled to explore all the continents, including Ogreed, Wena Islands, Eltona, Puku Land, and Dwachakka. I am especially curious about the new expansion, which introduces a new journey to a new land, called Rendashia, via a luxury cruise ship, along with new characters like Maille, Ragus, Fuura, Fuser, and Dasuton.

The game looks very promising, offering real-time combat, enhanced graphics, improved game balance, and original episodes, that weren’t available on the online version. I am particularly excited to experience the cutscenes and battles of the main story in this offline version.

Dragon Quest X offline version is now available on both Android and iOS in Japan. You can download the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store, costing ¥1,960 until January 28, 2025, as a launch discount. The global launch details aren’t out yet, once they arrive, I will be updating this space.
