Summary

  • Undisputed players demand bug fixes due to severe gameplay issues, especially game-breaking glitches.
  • A new clip from an Undisputed player shows a serious bug that prevented the fighter from turning around mid-match.
  • The last major Undisputed update was released in December, with no word on when another patch will be deployed.

Undisputed players are calling for developer Steel City Interactive to rectify some of the game’s most severe bugs after one fan showed a game-breaking glitch that had serious implications for an online fight. Undisputed is the first major boxing game to be released since Fight Night Champion, but fans have been less than impressed with the title due to a large number of gameplay-related bugs and glitches.

After being in its early access period for almost two years, Undisputed launched to mixed reviews back in October 2024, with plenty of users slamming the game for its missing features and lack of quality updates since being in early access. Published by Deep Silver and developed by Steel City Interactive, Undisputed is the first major boxing game to be released since 2011’s Fight Night Champion. EA once dominated the boxing video game scene with its Fight Night games, but the franchise has remained dormant for well over a decade now, with Steel City hoping to fill the void that has been left in the market.

Undisputed Players Call for Major Bug Fixes

Unfortunately, despite having practically no competition in the boxing video game scene, Undisputed launched with a myriad of bugs and gameplay issues. From players reporting losses on their records due to opponents backing out to severe hit registration issues, Undisputed players have had enough. Now, in a new post on the Undisputed subreddit, user SlouchyCouch has shown a ridiculous clip of an online match they had that was brought to an end by a game-breaking bug. In the clip, which can be viewed below, the player’s fighter somehow manages to turn their back to their opponent and is unable to turn back around. This results in a plethora of body shots that cannot be blocked before the player is knocked down.

The user says Undisputed needs some “serious” fixes, with fellow players agreeing. Reddit user TheNotoriousMJT even went as far as to say that publisher Deep Silver should be offering refunds due to the constant bugs and glitches. Unfortunately, there has been no word from Steel City Interactive on when a new Undisputed update will be released that could rectify this issue. The last major patch was released in December 2024, bringing with it a handful of improvements, new venues, cosmetics, and more.

Alongside a new update, Steel City Interactive also released a new DLC pack for Undisputed featuring the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul. The paid addition was not received well by the community, as many blasted Steel City Interactive for prioritizing the launch of a DLC fighter over the myriad of bugs and glitches that have been ruining plenty of players’ online experiences. With more and more bugs being shown by players regularly, many are eager to see a big Undisputed patch arrive soon.
