A prominent Marvel Rivals leaker surprises fans of the popular hero shooter by revealing that a highly requested X-Men character could be coming soon.
In a recent post on Instagram, nadorocks pointed out that players can use the Doom Match game mode to complete Heroic Journey achievements in order to earn Units and two free skins in Marvel Rivals. This comes as a result of players having the ability to sign up for the match in a group, meaning they can coordinate with one another to make earning certain achievements much easier. For instance, there’s an achievement titled God of Treachery, which requires Loki to get a KO by stabbing an opponent from behind. When in Doom Match, team mambers can coordinate to ensure the Loki player gets that elimination easily. With the ability to swap characters throughout the match, it’s possible for people to stack up quite a few achievements in a single round.
Marvel Rivals Players Can Use Doom Match to Earn Units
While rewards for completing achievements start small, they grow larger and larger as players complete more. Each challenge will reward gamers with 5 or 10 points depending on the difficulty of the task. For every 40 points earned, fans will be granted a reward, which starts with 100 Units. The first cosmetic reward is a skin for Storm in Marvel Rivals at 200 points. Players will begin earning 200 Units once they’ve reached 260 points, and they’ll even get a skin for Star-Lord at 400 points. Gamers who manage to complete every Heroic Journey achievement throughout the duration of Season 1 have a chance to claim 1,500 Units in total.
Players looking for more free rewards and cosmetics may like to try their hand at achieving Gold rank in the game’s Competitive mode. Gamers who manage to reach Gold by the end of Season 1 will earn a free skin for Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. Players who did the same in Season 0 recently received free skin for Moon Knight with a black and gold color scheme. With so many free rewards to claim in the popular hero shooter, many fans are looking forward to seeing what else NetEase Games offers in the future.
