Antidotes are required to cure sick animals on infected islands in Aloft. While you might start to find antidotes and fungicides in chests when you reach the game’s second biome, Fallen Heights, there is also a way to craft these important items.

However, there are a few requisite parts you’ll need to acquire first, including the Research Table and Brewing Lab. Remember, you can use the Stormchaser to improve your odds of finding an island with a knowledge stone on it.

How To Craft Antidotes

Aloft Crafting Research Lab

Antidotes can only be crafted on the Research Table when you’ve added the required Brewing Lab upgrade.

To actually get the Brewing Lab upgrade, you need to turn in 60 Intact Mykter Samples on to the Research Lab.

Intact Mykter Samples are collected by coating your blade with Mykter Fungicide at the Upgrade Station.

Whenever you kill an enemy or destroy a node with the coated weapon, you will collect some Intact Mykter Samples. We recommend you do this as early as possible, as that way you won’t need to retrace your steps and farm mobs for no reason.

So the step-by-step process to acquire Antidote is:

  • Discover the Research Table knowledge stone by exploring islands.
  • Use Mykter Samples to upgrade the Research Table to Tier 1.
  • Use 60 Intact Mykter Samples to unlock Antidotes.

Editor’s note: we will update this article once we’ve reached the third tier of the research lab. It’s likely to do with the final boss encounter in the game, the Leviathan, which you get a glimpse at during the intro.
