Fortnite Godzilla is set to debut on the island this week. The Kaiju Titan has been long-awaited since the release of the trailer and since it’s part of the battle pass. It is going to be a boss on the island, meaning it will be hostile and provide players with a supreme, NPC-based challenge. Here’s everything we know about it ahead of the release this week.

What We Know Before Godzilla Arrives in Fortnite
The official teaser trailer for the arrival of Godzilla in Fortnite launched today. The video showcases a sincere threat to the island, one much larger than any boss anyone’s fought before. It seems to be pretty mobile, too, possibly moving all around the map. It looks to be a major boss that requires the island to work together to defeat it, which is unlike Shogun, for example.
Eagle-eyed watchers might have noticed the Godzilla x Kong logo in the video. That’s right, this Fortnite collaboration isn’t just for the giant lizard. His monkey counterpart is coming, and he is also expected to become a boss on the island. Kong is supposed to come this week as well. He will probably also get an Item Shop skin as well. It is likely that Kong will be the same type of mega-boss that Godzilla is expected to be.
Godzilla is going to destroy the bridge on the Fortnite island, and there’s probably going to be a live event to accomplish this according to leaker HYPEX. The event will be small, not like the season-ending events, but it will change the island a little bit in the middle of Chapter 6 Season 1. It’s unclear exactly when this will happen (or if, since it is still a leak).
Those two characters seem to be the extent of the collaboration, but with two Titans on the island, it’s not impossible for others like Mothra, Ghidorah, or others to eventually arrive, too. There just aren’t any Fortnite leaks for that yet.
