Fallout Fan Shares Hidden Detail Under Lucy and the Ghoul’s Feet in Season 1

Summary

  • Fallout TV series hid Hollywood Walk of Fame detail in desert scene.
  • Show’s cast, including Ella Purnell, brought life to the post-apocalyptic world.
  • Fallout’s season two may adapt fan-favorite game, New Vegas.

An observant Fallout season one fan has noticed an incredible hidden detail regarding a specific scene from Lucy and the Ghoul’s environment that pulls the series from its post-apocalyptic world straight into the real world of Hollywood. Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show has been highly praised for its compelling story and stunning visuals, not to mention its fantastic line-up of actors that sewed the series seamlessly together.

Arcane’s Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, and Leslie Uggams showed viewers what it was like to live in its dangerously unforgiving retrofuturistic wasteland. In an age where adapting popular games into TV series’ and movies can either be a hit or miss, thankfully, Fallout wasn’t one of them and became the second most-watched series on Prime Video in 2024 with 65 million viewers tuning into its futuristic, post-apocalyptic setting, making it the biggest series since Rings of Power. Even though the show’s creators, Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet did a stellar job at implementing so many features from the beloved Bethesda game, it was its cast that banded together to create something truly special that fans can’t wait to experience again when Fallout returns for its second season.

While lots of aspects of the Fallout TV series share plenty of similarities to the game, like its monster designs, lore, and Vault construction, there were still some surprises in store for those who are loyal supporters of the Bethesda title. In a post on Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan noticed a hidden detail in episodes three and four of the series in which Lucy and Walton Goggins’ the Ghoul can be seen walking in the desert. However, on closer inspection, the wind seemed to have blown the sand to one side, revealing that the pair were actually walking on one of Hollywood’s most iconic landmarks; its Walk of Fame. In the images, its five-pointed terrazzo-and-brass stars embedded in its sidewalks can clearly be seen under Lucy and the Ghoul’s feet, giving the scene more glitz and glamor rather than its intended stark and dangerous apocalyptic aesthetic.

Many of the comments under the post couldn’t believe that they had missed this seemingly obvious detail. One fan stated that they thought it was just a flag, but this was “way cooler”, another expressed that they have watched Fallout season one “three times and never noticed this detail”, while another commentor said that they thought it was a “nice little nod to the Ghoul’s past.”

Recently, fans of the series were treated to a tease from Fallout season two’s producer, Jonathan Nolan, who hinted that its returning season will adapt the fan-favorite game, Fallout: New Vegas. Sadly, Fallout season two’s filming was set to begin on January 8, but due to the horrendous wildfires in L.A., it has been pushed back to Friday, January 10. It’s not known yet if the impact of the disaster will impact the entirety of the show’s premiere.
