Boruto is the main character of this shonen epic and is the first child and only son of Naruto and Hinata. He shares his father’s loud, wild, and fearless personality. Boruto had a better upbringing than his father, giving him a more refined and mannered approach to things, though he is still fiercely loyal and holds passionate dreams.
Boruto has a great relationship with his mother and sister and would do anything to protect them. He proves his incredible strength in each episode, learning everything he can to improve his skills and abilities. After the timeskip, Boruto has grown quite a lot, both in terms of power as well as skill. He now dons an outfit similar to Sasuke Uchiha. He also carries a sword and is likely one of the strongest Shinobi alive at this point in time.

Kawaki
Naruto’s Adopted-Turned-Fake Son
- Age: 14 years (before timeskip), 17 (after timeskip)
- Height: 157 cm (5 feet 1.5 inches)
- Birthday: N/A
Kawaki is introduced at the very start of the series as an antagonist who had a hand to play in Naruto’s demise. However, in the series, he’s shown as a character who was thrust into horrible circumstances that were beyond his control.
The way Naruto has taken care of him is pretty endearing and adds more mystery surrounding the events that are to pass. It’s possible that Kawaki was probably controlled by forces unknown and killed Naruto because of this… but at this point, such scenarios are nothing more than speculation. After the timeskip, Kawaki has gotten tremendously powerful. He now wields all the powers of Isshiki with full control, as signified by the eight triangles inside his eye. Currently, he’s being perceived as the son of the 7th Hokage, thanks to Omnipotence. Fans know that he will take down a very dark path in the future of the story and they’re eagerly waiting to see how it unfolds.
18
Sarada Uchiha
An Aspirant Hokage

- Height: 147cm (4 feet 10 inches)
- Birthday: March 31
Sarada is the only daughter of Sakura and Sasuke, born when the two were adventuring away from Konoha. She boasts personality traits from both her parents, though she tends to act more like her mother. She is intelligent, witty, sociable, and caring, but she will erupt in flames when she is angered.
Though Sarada and Boruto are rivals, they have a close and dependable relationship. Sarada dreams of becoming Hokage someday, just like Naruto did in his series. After the timeskip, Sarada experienced a significant change in character design. Naturally, she is much taller than before and, at the same time, wears a completely different outfit. When it comes to skill, Sarada is definitely one of the strongest around, having awakened her Mangekyo Sharingan as well.

Boruto differs from Naruto in a lot of ways. But the two are more similar than you’d think.
He cares about Boruto more than anything else, and typically always follows his lead or loves getting his approval. He is an important part of Team Konohamaru. After the timeskip, Mitsuki grew significantly and appears to be taller than the vast majority of the characters. He looks quite similar to Log in terms of appearance. His character remains unchanged, however, his memory has been altered, thanks to Omnipotence.

Konohamaru Sarutobi
Team 7’s New Captain
- Age: 27 years (before timeskip), 30 (after timeskip)
- Height: 177.5 cm (5 feet 10 inches)
- Birthday: December 30

15
Kashin Koji
The Astonishing Equivalent Of A Char Clone
- Age: N/A
- Height: 187cm
- Birthday: N/A
When Kashin Koji originally appeared as a masked character in Boruto episodes, Gundam fans might even joke that it’s the series embodiment of a “Char Clone.” Little do they know that this joke would eventually come to life, as Kashin Koji is eventually revealed – in poetic Gundam fashion – a clone of Jiraiya, the former teacher of Naruto Uzumaki.
In Boruto’s story, Kashin Koji is a double agent created by Amado Sanzu, with the aim of eventually betraying Kara and killing Isshiki Otsutsuki. None of the characters were aware of Kashin Koji’s true origins, which made the revelation of his capability of using the Rasengan quite a shocker to both fans and existing characters in the series. While presumed dead in a final stand against Isshiki Otsutsuki, Kashin Koji reaches out to Boruto during his forced defection, having seemingly acquired the gift of Ten Directions, where he can see possible futures. He currently aids Boruto in the fight against the God Trees.
14
Ada
The Ever-Attractive Woman With Omnipresence
- Age: 19
- Height: N/A
- Birthday: N/A
Ada is another powerful being that was created by Amado. She was especially created in an attempt to replicate his daughter and bring her back to life. Just like Daemon, Ada was infused with the DNA of Shibai Otsutsuki. She possesses tremendous amounts of power. Ada is a wielder of the Senrigan, and, at the same time, she also possesses the power of Omnipotence, which is simply the most dangerous jutsu to have ever existed.
Currently, Ada lives in Konoha, however, she can be a threat to everyone. Given that she started in the story as a villain, fans could see her return to this role in the future once again. After the timeskip, Ada has found out more about her Omnipotence ability, however, she still hasn’t gained full control over it.
13
Code
The Inheritor Of Isshiki’s Will
- Age: N/A
- Height: N/A
- Birthday: N/A
Code was a member of the Kara organization and, just like most of the Inners, he was born human, but scientifically enhanced by Amado. In fact, Code was one of the children who Jigen tried passing the Karma onto. For some reason, Code ended up receiving a White Karma, which meant that he was not a vessel, yet, he received all powers of the Karma seal.

Boruto: How The Writers Nerfed Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto Uzumaki was extremely nerfed in Boruto. Sasuke received similar treatment.
After Isshiki died, Code was made the leader of the new Kara and, at the same time, the former ended up passing his will to him. He is currently trying to get revenge for the death of Isshiki. As such, he wants to destroy Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and all those involved in the death of his beloved master. Currently, he is the biggest antagonist in the entire story, however, he certainly is not going to be the last, judging by the way things have shaped his character. After the timeskip, Code has returned stronger than ever and it will be interesting for the fans to see what direction this character takes moving forward.

Daemon
The Boy With A Reflector
- Age: N/A

Daemon possesses powers of Shibai Otsutsuki and, overall, he is incredibly strong, enough to kill nearly anyone in the entire series. Fans do not know much about Daemon yet, however, given the threat that he poses, he is sure to play a very important role in the future of the story.
Along with his sister, Daemon is one of the biggest threats in the world of ninja currently. Even though he lives in Konoha at the moment, he is a character not to be trusted. After the timeskip, it is possible that he’s now stronger than ever before and, consequently, an even bigger threat.

Himawari Uzumaki
The New Nine-Tails Jinchuriki
- Age: 10 years (before timeskip), 13 (after timeskip)
- Height: 138 cm (4 feet 6 inches)
- Birthday: August 1
Himawari is the second and youngest child of Naruto and Hinata. She loves her family and always wishes to play with her brother Boruto. Though young, she is immensely powerful, having inherited Hinata’s Byakugan.
Himawari mainly took on her mother’s appearance, bearing the same dark hair and soft features, but her eyes and cheeks clearly resemble her father. She is bright, cheery, and loving towards others, and has the potential to be an incredible ninja as she gets older. Himawari has grown quite a lot after the timeskip and, currently, she has become a splendid ninja. With time, she will grow even further in terms of skill, given that she is Naruto’s daughter.

Hinata is a strict yet loving wife and mother, always reminding her family about manners and behaviors. She is very supportive and caring, doing her best to keep Naruto’s home life peaceful while he spends more time at work now that he is Hokage. Just like Naruto, Hinata is in Kawaki’s pocket dimension. Since time does not flow there, Hinata has not aged at all. She will only be freed when Kawaki releases Naruto from his dimension and fans may have to wait quite a bit for that.

He is wise, powerful, smart, and a fantastic teacher, though his methods can be a little questionable. He respects Naruto immensely and cares for his village with all his heart.
The lower half of his face is always covered by a mask, making him extra mysterious. Kakashi is a huge reason Naruto and the other successful ninja are where they are at the start of Boruto. - Age: 33-36
- Height: 176cm
- Birthday: September 22
Shikamaru Nara returns as a series mainstay in Boruto as the advisor to Naruto’s tenure as the Seventh Hokage, having seemingly never escaped situations which are, to him, “a drag.” He now applies his genius intellect and tactical acumen on a wider scale, as he’s responsible for helping Naruto manage Konoha’s internal affairs just as much as Sasuke’s responsible for managing outside threats.
In the timeskip arc, Naruto’s absence and Sasuke’s renewed defection will force Shikamaru to assume the role of the Eighth Hokage. This will become even more of a drag for him when he realizes that Boruto’s defection is forced, Kawaki isn’t Naruto’s true son, and Chakra Fruits have become Sapient Beings with an interest in consuming relevant figures in the Village.
4
Sumire Kakei
School Representative Who Admires Boruto At A Distance
- Age: 12-16
- Height: 147cm
- Birthday: June 12
Belonging to a family with ties to Root, Sumire Kakei suffered a sad childhood after the death of her mother and her training at her father’s tutelage to bear the Gozu Tenno and exact revenge on Konoha. Years later, she crafted a “Sumire Kakei” persona and became the class representative of Boruto’s batch. While initially becoming a protagonist after letting her spiritual beast Nue let loose, Boruto helped her come to her senses – letting go of her grudge and eventually developing feelings for the young lad.
Soon, Sumire’s keen intellect made her a part of Konoha’s Scientific Ninja Weapons Team and even assigned as an aide and guardian to Amado Sanzu, becoming even more knowledgeable in advanced ninja weapons. For some reason, Sumire is among two individuals (the other being Sarada) who aren’t affected by Eida’s natural enchantment. Not only that, she and Sarada were the only ones who knew of Boruto’s true nature in the timeskip.

2
Isshiki Otsutsuki
Kagura’s Former Partner
- Age: 1000+ years
- Height: 165 cm (5 feet 5 inches)
- Birthday: N/A
The fact that Isshiki’s rank is higher than Kaguya’s showed just how threatening of an antagonist he really was. He was using vessels as a way to channel his power, with Kawaki being his latest prey.
His power was pretty fearsome, and the scary part was that he wasn’t even at his full potential! While this villain might’ve breathed his last, only time will tell whether his chaotic plan will finally become a reality.
1
Jura
The Mysterious Leader Of The Sapient Beings
- Age: N/A
- Height: N/A
- Birthday: N/A
At some point during the timeskip era of Two Blue Vortex, Boruto follows the antagonist Code into the dimension of the Ten-Tails. To their shock, humanoids who looked suspiciously like existing beings somehow exist. They’re revealed to be Sapient Beings – God Trees made sentient, and practically an incarnation of Ten-Tails. Leading the Sapient Beings is Jura, a being shrouded in mystery.
Not much is known about Jura, making him a more terrifying foe. Among Jura’s interesting abilities is his natural flight, the creation of Tailed Beast Balls, an affinity toward Wood Release, and even the creation of Claw Marks. He can confidently say that he can devour Naruto Uzumaki, and may even overpower Himawari Uzumaki as a newly-endowed Jinchuriki. Unlike other God Trees, Jura doesn’t have a direct resemblance to anyone, and it doesn’t seem that he has an “origin” or “template” being, making him both mysterious and terrifying.
