Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2 Will Let Fans Pause In Multiplayer

Black Ops 6 Zombies Citadelle Des Morts Easter Egg Solved In One Day

Summary

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will finally allow players to pause in Zombies multiplayer, starting in Season 28 on January 28.
  • Everyone will need to be in the same party, only the party leader can pause, and you still have a 15-minute timer, but at least you can now take a quick breather.
  • On top of that, Treyarch has also outlined changes to AFK timers, and revealed the first details about Season 2’s map, which is called ‘The Tomb’.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a pretty good game (if you can look past all the AI guff), and the Zombies mode is arguably the most popular aspect of it. There has been one common complaint about the mode so far though, and that’s the inability to pause while in multiplayer. Sure, you can pause while playing solo, but that’s not how most people play the mode.

It’s led to instances in which people have been kicked for inactivity for simply trying to solve a map’s Easter egg, as well as calls for the mode’s AFK timers to be either made less strict, or scrapped entirely. Thankfully, it seems as though developer Treyarch is going one step further in Season 2, and is finally giving us the ability to pause while playing in multiplayer.

Just like in previous Call of Duty games, when Season 2 launches on January 28, you will be able to pause a game of Zombies in multiplayer, provided that everyone you’re playing with is in the same party. You’ve still got a fifteen-minute timer, and only the party leader has the ability to pause the game, but it’s nice to have a breather if a game is going on for a while.

Players Are Already Turning Against Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6

What began as a fan favourite entry has quickly soured into something sad and corporate.

AFK Timers are also getting a slight tweak, though probably not in the way that many had hoped. Instead of making them less strict, Treyarch has decided to make the punishment for timing out a lot less severe. Starting in Season 2, if you’re kicked from a Zombies match for inactivity, your loadout, Essence, and Salvage will be restored upon entering again.

On top of that, Treyarch also used this opportunity to give us more details about the new map coming with Season 2, which is ominously titled ‘The Tomb’. Treyarch doesn’t give too much away, besides explaining what Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya are actually doing there, but it does tease that the map may have some nods to the game’s past, as well as the return of “one of the most iconic SMGs in Zombies history”. We should get more details faily soon.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
