Who should you pull for in HSR version 3.0

Honkai: Star Rail Phase 1 banner featuring Herta, Feixiao, Lingsha, and Jade in Version 3.0, its hard deciding who to pull. It depends on your team’s needs and your priorities for future content. Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others. Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.

1. The Herta

The Herta, a brand-new 5-Star Ice Erudition character, is the highlight of Version 3.0. As the emanator of Erudition (similar to Acheron’s role for Nihility), she is effectively meta-proofed for future content. Her exceptional AoE damage, energy-efficient rotations, and the “Interpretation” mechanic that scales her power make her the best DPS to invest in now and for the coming Version 3.0 patches. If you’re looking for the most impactful character for DPS roles now and in future content, Herta is the best choice.

2. Lingsha

Lingsha is a 5-Star Fire Abundance character who excels at sustaining her team with strong heals and buffs. She is one of the best sustain/support units in the game, fitting seamlessly into many team compositions, especially those focused on Break mechanics. Her ability to heal and provide utility makes her invaluable in both casual and endgame content. If you struggle with survivability in tougher content or want a universally strong support unit, Lingsha is a great pick.

3. Feixiao

Feixiao is a 5-Star Wind Hunt character, excelling in single-target burst damage and dominating boss fights. She’s highly relevant in endgame content, but there is a concern about her being power-crept in the near future. If you’re struggling to clear endgame content right now and lack a strong single-target DPS, Feixiao can fill that gap. Pull for Feixiao if you need a strong single-target DPS for immediate use. Otherwise, Herta is the better long-term DPS investment.

4. Jade

Jade is a 5-Star Quantum Erudition character whose value has increased significantly since her initial release due to her synergy with Herta and Erudition teams. While still niche, she’s now a solid pick for multi-enemy encounters, especially if you’ve already invested in Herta. Pull for Jade if you plan to build around Herta and want to amplify your Erudition team’s potential.
