Pokemon Scarlet and Violet pull back the curtain on unexpected Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak events that will take place in mid-January.

Now, a Pokemon fan going by elladrondelibros on TikTok has shown off the weird Gengar they got out of a claw machine game. The video starts showing the back of the Pokemon, which seems normal enough, but the new owner turns it over to reveal that the forehead of the Gengar is gigantic. For whatever reason, the face of the Gengar looks like it has slid down the body somewhat, sitting on the Pokemon’s abdomen, rather than where its head should logically be. Although the plush definitely looks off, elladrondelibros gives the plush a pat, with the text of the video referring to it as their new “son.”

Pokemon Fans React to Gengar’s Big Forehead

Plenty of fans have made jokes about the Gengar, with many seeming to be quite amused at the unusual Pokemon plush‘s appearance. Some have compared it to other characters and animation styles with big heads or foreheads, like Megamind, Code Lyoko, or Splatoon 3‘s Frye. It also seems that the Gengar isn’t alone in its odd appearance, as one fan posted an image of a Charmander plush with a similarly large cranium. While the OP didn’t state if the merchandise is legitimate or not, many have speculated that it’s a bootleg, which would explain why it doesn’t look quite right. Another user in the comments notes that they have the same Gengar plush, but that theirs looks the way one would expect a Gengar to look, further cementing the possibility of it being an unofficial bootleg.

It would be easy to imagine being a bit surprised if one were fishing for this plush while it was lying face-down in a crane machine only to discover it looked like this. Buying or otherwise acquiring a plush with an odd defect like this might upset some fans, but elladrondelibros seems to be happy with their new catch. While some may just see a bootleg Pokemon crane machine toy, the unusual quality of the Gengar may make it more endearing to some.
