@S2,
See, I can understand that the SS may create more work from some devs, but it’s so few that voice or even hint at a problem, that the labeling of “everyone” is inaccurate.
At this point, any game enthusiast and dev knows that the SS will require extra work… 2 big games made this apparent, one got released with a feature missing and the other is pending. The system runs Alan Wake and some other graphics intense games, showing that a few graphical cutbacks, and a good team of engineers, the system is capable of running high-end games..it even has an unreal engine 5 game running on it.
So when you say “real problem” I understand, but it’s no more real than bringing games to the base PS4 which devs are still doing, or now turning things up or down for the PS5 pro, more work will be involved, and cuts will be made. Games skipping a system because it’s hard to port is nothing new, and when it’s 1% of 100 it’s not a hill to die on. This last example was how difficult the PS3 was to work on, devs had trouble, and some games went to Xbox instead, and some games ran better on Xbox as a result, but that doesn’t mean the PS3 was a “problem” and by no means was it a mistake.
So yes, I see your point, but no I don’t agree.
To the point, I was mainly talking to anast about the “Everyone” overblown comment, it’s an exaggeration of the truth and not based on facts that everyone is speaking out, which you even see that its and incorrect statement, making it factually wrong as well.
