It’s time to relearn four of the game’s most notorious weapons.

While the news was met with excitement, something more caught player’s eyes—the twerking Gypceros, which has now officially been acknowledged by the Monster Hunter team.

Following the beta announcement trailer, threads began to appear on the Monster Hunter subreddit, with players enamored by the Gypceros’ “flash and twerk” maneuver.

In the video, the hunter can be seen approaching the Gypceros, who then flashes and sends him to the floor. Following the flash, the monster shakes its behind and then slams its tail down on the unsuspecting victim.

It’s this move that drew plaudits from the game’s community.

Obviously noticing the stir it made online, Capcom’s social team used the official Monster Hunter Twitter account to tell players, “Gypceros can’t resist the urge to hit em’ with that [peach emoji]”.

The tweet was clearly a great marketing ploy, notching up over 10,000 likes within its first 12 or so hours—not that Monster Hunter needs much marketing, given how successful the next game’s first beta was.

For those wondering when they can jump back in, there’s not long to wait as Monster Hunter Wilds’ next beta will run from Friday 7 February (3 am UTC) to Monday 10 February (2:59 am UTC), and then again from Friday 14 February (3 am UTC) to Monday 17 February (2:59 am UTC).

Now get out there and see the monster twerk for yourself.
