Summary
- Marvel Rivals players have accused the game of filling quickplay matches with bots.
- Invisible Woman might be the solution though as her passive ability has been confusing the alleged bots.
- When invisible, bots appear unable to move past or hurt her, effectively taking them out of the match.
Marvel Rivals has been accused of filling its quickplay matches with bots for various reasons, and it has quickly reached a point where many players are fed up with them showing up. However, the addition of Invisible Woman to the roster appears to have given Rivals players an unexpected weapon in the battle against the bots, rendering them useless since they’re unable to see the new character when she’s using her passive ability.
Accusations that NetEase fills select Rivals matches with bots began at the end of last month when a study appeared to show they start arriving after players lose two quickplay matches in a row. Presumably, the idea behind this is that players then win the third match with relative ease and don’t become disillusioned with the game.

Complaints about bots have become more intense since then though as some have accused their placement of being far more random, possibly a tactic to prevent players having to queue for too long. As for the easy way to neutralize them should you happen upon these alleged bots, the video below shows just how effective Invisible Woman can be when doing almost nothing at all.
Marvel Rivals Has A Bot Problem
And Invisible Woman Might Be The Solution
Shared by RivalsAssembled, by way of barky1616, Invisible Woman heads toward the enemy team’s base. She then stops at the bottom of the staircase most players use to get back to where the action is. That’s the route the bots take, hopping over the banister when they get to it. However, since there’s an invisible barrier preventing them from doing that, they simply stop short, right next to Invisible Woman, and do nothing.
Since the bots can’t see Invisible Woman, they don’t know she’s there and therefore they don’t attack her. Adam Warlock and Hulk, the bots in this specific example, are taken out of the game without a shot needing to be fired. They’re just standing there, unable to hop up on the staircase and head back into battle to help the rest of their team.
NetEase has yet to acknowledge the use of bots to fill matches or make it easier on struggling players, so it seems unlikely it has any plans to remove them. However, if you do suspect you’re playing against bots, this is a great way to find out for sure. It’s also a good way to pick up an easy, albeit pretty boring win. Switch to Invisible Woman and babysit a couple of bots while the rest of your team does the hard work.
