One of the challenges provided on Day 2 of Infinity Nikki‘s Starry Lake Serenade event is to take a photo at the center of Silken Lake. While it’s not explicitly indicated on the in-game map, Silken Lake is the large body of water adjacent to both Florawish and Breezy Meadow. It’s easy enough to spot when first venturing into the town during the start of the main story questline.

Unfortunately, since Nikki can’t swim in deep water, reaching the islands in the middle of Silken Lake hasn’t been possible. However, since the Croakers arrived and stayed put in the area after the game’s Companion’s Day event, they’ve also brought a very nifty method of aquatic transportation with them. This is your key to getting further out into the lake.

Head to the Leisureely Anglers Florawish Branch on the northwest coast of the lake, not far from the entrance to Florawish proper. There’s also a Warp Spire there that you can unlock to make travel that much easier. From that Warp Spire, go down the path immediately to the left, away from the Leisureely Angler building and toward a small dock where a group of Croakers can be seen with a giant lotus leaf floating on the water.

Use the dock to jump safely onto the big lotus leaf and speak to the Croaker Boatman. He will offer Nikki a ride out onto Silken Lake to help her fish for Pink Ribbon Eels, which is certainly a bonus. However, the initiative here is to get to a central point of the lake to take a photo. Select the ‘Ride the lotus leaf boat,’ and the Croakers hanging on the sides will push the lotus boat out into the water until some Pink Ribbon Eel fishing nodes appear.

Fish those nodes clean if you want, then open Photo Mode and take your desired picture for the Starry Lake Serenade challenge. Once done, the challenge will automatically be completed, and you can go to the Starry Lake Serenade tab to collect 100 x Lucky Star Shell tokens for your efforts.

There are seven tiers of rewards in all to collect from this mini-event, which include Blings, Diamonds, Threads of Purity, and all different types of Shiny Bubbles for outfit glow-ups.

Make sure to stay on top of the offered objectives, as this event and all of its rewards are only available in Infinity Nikki until January 23. Also, remember to take advantage of those Pink Ribbon Eel rewards and side quests at Leisureely Anglers, and exchange as many as you can with event vendor Mitcheli at the dock, as she’ll have plenty of rewards for you as well.
