It’s likely only a matter of days until we finally see the Nintendo Switch 2’s official reveal, and if the console ends up being anything like the first, it’ll be a smash hit. Unsurprisingly, that means third-party publishers are lining up to get their biggest titles on the console as quickly as possible, with titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Tekken 8 reportedly coming to the system.
However, it seems as though one publisher out there is attempting to be the biggest on the console outside of Nintendo itself, as it’s being reported that Ubisoft apparently has over half a dozen Switch 2 ports in development right now. This is according to industry insider NateTheHate, who, in the latest episode of his podcast, claimed that Ubisoft is going to try and capitalize on the Switch 2’s launch.
Ubisoft Is Reportedly Working On Over Half A Dozen Switch 2 Ports
Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Be A Launch Title
“One title that will be there within the launch window comes from Ubisoft, and it’s going to be Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” says NateTheHate. “To my understanding, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is one of the in-development ports and probably won’t be ready for the launch window. I’ve been told that Ubisoft is doing more than half a dozen games for the Switch 2 and a lot of them are going to be later ports.”

Ubisoft has a lot of work to do, and crypto games aren’t helping.
As for the other games that Ubisoft is reportedly planning to port, NateTheHate says that pretty much “any game that Ubisoft can port, it will port”. This includes the likes of The Division, Rainbow Six Siege, a potential package collection for the Mario + Rabbids series, and more. If all of those do happen, it sounds like Ubisoft is all in one the Switch 2.
That shouldn’t be too surprising given the situation that Ubisoft has found itself in recently, with its financial problems a bit of an open secret at the moment. Star Wars Outlaws failed to make the impact the studio was hoping for, and high-profile disasters like Skull & Bones will have hurt the company massively. If Ubisoft can scrape some extra cash together with some decent Switch 2 ports, then it’s going to try it.
