Summary

  • Leaks claim more than half a dozen Ubisoft games are coming to the Switch 2.
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage is claimed to be coming in the console’s launch window.
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows and other Ubisoft games are also rumored for the Switch 2.

According to the latest leaks and rumors, Ubisoft could have big plans for the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 has not been officially revealed by Nintendo just yet, but chances are the console will have its official unveiling sooner rather than later. And if the Switch 2 is anything like past Nintendo consoles, it’s likely that it will be home to many games published by Ubisoft.

Ubisoft has shown a great deal of support for Nintendo platforms for decades. Ubisoft has released some timed-exclusives on Nintendo consoles, and has even collaborated with Nintendo on games in the past. Now it seems that Ubisoft’s support for Nintendo is set to continue with the Switch 2, whenever the new console finally releases to the masses.

Switch 2 Size Compared to Original Console, Based on the Leaks

Based on the leaked information about the console, here is how the size of the Switch 2 might compare to the original console.

According to leaker Nate the Hate, Ubisoft has big plans for the Switch 2. In a recent video, it was claimed that Ubisoft plans to release Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the Switch 2’s launch “window,” which would mean it would hit the console by the end of the year. It’s also been claimed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming to the Switch 2 as well, but that it will not be within the new console’s launch window. Other Ubisoft games expected to come to the Switch 2 include Rainbow Six Siege and The Division, as well as a possible Mario Rabbids collection that would combine Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope. In total, Nate the Hate expects “more than half a dozen” Ubisoft games for the Switch 2, primarily comprised of ports.

Rumored Ubisoft Switch 2 Games

  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
  • Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • The Division Series

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard word of Ubisoft games potentially coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. A separate leak from last year claimed Ubisoft plans on bringing multiple Assassin’s Creed games to the Switch 2. Mirage and Shadows were mentioned in the previous leak alongside Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins.

Now, it’s worth pointing out that the Switch 2 is backward compatible, so it will have access to a huge range of Ubisoft-published games right out of the gate. This would include Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. But if the rumors about Ubisoft’s Switch 2 plans are true, then it seems the handheld could very well become a great option for fans of the AC franchise wanting to take the experiences on the go.

It really wouldn’t be surprising at all if the rumors about Ubisoft’s planned Switch 2 support turn out to be true. As some may recall, Ubisoft aggressively supported the Wii U as well, and with the Switch 2 virtually guaranteed to be a big hit, it’s really a no-brainer for most publishers to start working on games for the device.
