Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Has Sold Millions Of Copies
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is based on the manga series written by Iro and illustrated by Aida. The manga began serialization in June 2014 in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy magazine. Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has released more than 20 volumes, and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down.
The manga’s sales numbers are rather impressive. According to the latest information, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has sold more than 8 million copies, which is higher than some other famous titles.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun’s anime adaptation was announced in March 2019. The anime was released in January 2020. The next season was announced in 2024, and it premiered in January 2025. Aside from the original anime series, Toilet-bound Hanako-kun has also released a special adaptation of After-School Hanako-kun. The anime was produced by Lerche and was directed by Masaki Kitamura. The anime began airing on October 13 and ended on November 3, 2023.

Masayoshi Ōishi is performing L’oN, the opening theme song for the second season. Akari Kitō’s With a Wish is the ending song of the anime.
