Palworld is a survival-crafting game, featuring a huge variety of different weapons and tools for you to use. As you progress in the game, more items are unlocked as you level up, and it can become challenging to know if a weapon or tool is worth investing in, because there’s no way to try out an item without crafting it.

Lockpicks make chests far easier to open than finding specific keys in Palworld.
Lily’s Spear is one of the weapons that can greatly help you out during mid-game, at least until you unlock the end-game gear. Crafting this item for the first time can be tough, but once you do it, you’ll want to keep this weapon in your inventory at all times.
How To Get Lily’s Spear
Lily’s Spear can be unlocked from the Technology menu at level 43 with three Ancient Technology Points. After unlocking it, you’ll need the following items to craft it:
Lily’s Spear Crafting Requirements |
|
---|---|
Materials Required |
How To Obtain |
20x Paldium Fragment |
Deposits of Paldium Fragments can be found all over the map. You can also build a Crusher in your base to turn regular stones into Paldium Fragments with the help of a water-type Pal. |
30x Refined Ingot |
Unlike regular Ingots, Refined Ingots are made with both Ore and Coal. You’ll need to build an Improved Furnace to craft Refined Ingots. |
20x High Quality Cloth |
High Quality cloth can be crafted from wool at a High Quality Workbench or any Production Assembly Line. Certain Pals can drop wool after being defeated, such as Lamballs and Melpacas. |
50x Wood |
Wood can be gathered from trees anywhere. |
20x Ancient Civilization Parts |
The Ancient Civilization Parts are dropped by Alpha Pals and dungeon bosses. |
After gathering all the required items, you can head to any Production Assembly Line or Weapon Assembly Line to craft Lily’s Spear. You can have several Pals at your base with the Handiwork skill to help you craft the item faster.
How Lily’s Spear Works
Lily’s Spear isn’t only a decent melee weapon for mid-game that can deal consistent damage; its best feature is that this spear is exceptional at chopping wood and mining rocks. If you have it in your inventory, you can leave those pickaxes and axes at your base.
Lily’s Spear is also convenient because you don’t have to cycle through your weapons for different tasks. It also saves you a few inventory slots by giving you the option of not bringing unnecessary tools for your exploration.
This weapon features an attack power of 450 and a durability of 500, which is more than most pickaxes and axes. You might have to leave this weapon behind once you unlock the Pal Metal Axe and Pal Metal Pickaxe, but until then, you can keep using Lily’s Spear for everything.
While the description of the item in the Technology menu states that this weapon punishes those who neglect their Pals, you might think that it would deal more damage to Syndicate thugs or other human threats that harm Pals. However, that isn’t the case, and the weapon functions like any other regardless of their behavior with their Pals.
