Palworld isn’t just about crafting; a significant part of the game revolves around battles. You’ll face off against other Pal and even humans. Your most effective weapons in this struggle are the Pal in your team. Without them, everyone would target you, making you easy prey in this harsh world.

Of course, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t support your Pal with weapons. To succeed in battles, you need to use the best weapons available to provide maximum support. The affordability of weapons is also an important factor. But have you tried using Elemental Grenades? In this guide, we’ll cover what they do and how you can obtain them.
How To Get All Elemental Grenades
As the name suggests, Elemental Grenades deal damage based on various elemental types. After being thrown, they explode within a few seconds, making timing and the target’s state crucial. You’ll want to avoid wasting them, so it’s essential to evaluate before using them. If your target is stunned or asleep, it’s an excellent opportunity to throw these grenades.
Additionally, since they deal area damage, they are effective against groups of hostile humans or herds of Pal.
At earlier levels, when you lack access to area damage-dealing weapons, Elemental Grenades can be a compelling option. Each Elemental Grenade has 750 attack power. However, due to their elemental nature, you need to use the correct type of grenade against the appropriate enemies. The table below shows which Elemental Grenade is most effective against each element:
Grenade |
Effective Against |
---|---|
Shock Grenade |
Water Element |
Ice Grenade |
Dragon Element |
Incendiary Grenade |
Grass Element |

Fire Element |

Essentially, every Elemental Grenade is an elemental version of the Frag Grenade, and some have additional effects. The Frag Grenade also has 750 damage, but it does not deal elemental damage.
While stronger versions of Elemental Grenades are unavailable later in the game, reaching Level 53 unlocks the Frag Grenade Mk2 blueprint. This grenade has a massive 4,000 damage and can be a valuable tool if you aren’t using a Rocket Launcher or other area-damage weapons.
You can use the Weapon Workbench
, Weapon Assembly Line, or Weapon Assembly Line II
to craft Elemental Grenades. Since Elemental Grenades require easily obtainable materials, you can craft them in large quantities. However, keep in mind that their explosion’s area damage is not very large.
The table below lists all Elemental Grenades, the materials needed to craft them, and the levels required to unlock them:
Shock Grenade and Ice Grenade, in particular, are useful not just for their damage but for their effects, which make capturing Pal easier or give you extra time to escape.
Since Elemental Grenades fall under the ‘weapon’ category, owning a Pal Labor Research Laboratory and unlocking the following research subjects listed below can provide significant benefits:
