Now with the news that Sony is finally turning the beloved gaming title into a movie, fans have been sharing who they want to play as the outcast and brave warrior Aloy, and it seems as though one Game of Thrones star is high on the list.
Released in 2017 on the PlayStation 4, Horizon Zero Dawn became a huge hit for Guerrilla Games and even surpassed No Man’s Sky as the console’s biggest launch since Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Selling over 20 million copies around the world across PS4 and PC, Horizon Zero Dawn‘s environment portrays a futuristic world that has been infiltrated by giant animal machines that resemble prehistoric creatures. In a bid to understand its world better, as well as her own past, Aloy, voiced by Ashly Burch, takes on an epic and dangerous journey to rescue tribal clans, while unraveling ancient secrets.

Fans Want One Game of Thrones Actor To Play Aloy in Movie Adaptation
Even though details on the Horizon Zero Dawn movie are currently non-existent, that hasn’t stopped fans from wanting Rose Leslie to step into the shoes of the Nova Brave warrior and the main protagonist of the Horizon series. It’s certainly easy to see why fans would want Leslie to play Aloy, as the feisty Game of Thrones character bears a remarkable resemblance to Guerrilla’s character, even right down to her bow and arrow skills, which would come in very handy if the actor got the role due to how much archery action that is in the game.
Leslie would make a fantastic Aloy, but it seems as though there’s another actor that Horizon Zero Dawn enthusiasts would also like to see in the role. On Reddit, ongoing discussions have revolved around Sophia Lillis, an actress known for her roles in It: Chapter Two where she played the young Beverly Marsh, as well as other movies that include HBO’s Sharp Object and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Although she might not be as big of a household name as the Game of Thrones actor, known for her iconic saying “You know nothing, John Snow“, Lillis seems to be another popular choice.
