Summary
- Genshin Impact 5.3 features a list of must-have four-star units often overlooked on banners.
- Popular four-star characters like Sayu and Charlotte have waited over a year for banner re-runs.
- Four-stars like Mika for phys teams and Gorou for Geo setups expand character roles in the game.
A new Genshin Impact chart has revealed the four-star waiting list for the ongoing Version 5.3. Four-star characters in Genshin Impact are much easier to obtain compared to five-star units since they run on a 10-wish pity, meaning players are guaranteed a drop within 10 wishes.
Every Limited Character Banner offers three four-star characters per banner cycle, and the current one features Bennett, Diona, and Kachina. Players who want to add any of these units to their roster have more than a week to do so, as the banner is scheduled to expire around January 1.

Although each banner cycle features three four-star characters, some units often go over a year without appearing on a banner. At the top of the list with 12 missed updates is the four-star Anemo user Sayu, whose last appearance was back in Version 4.0. Sayu was originally released at the start of the Inazuma update and quickly became a fan favorite due to her unique ability to travel the overworld with her Elemental Skill. Despite missing so many updates, Sayu is still considered a versatile character who can fit many different roles in Genshin Impact, such as support, sub-DPS, and healer.
Genshin Impact 5.3: Updated Four-star Waiting List Revealed
The second character with 10 missed updates is the Cryo user Charlotte, who was the first Fontaine character introduced to the game. Although she made her first in-game appearance before Fontaine even arrived, Charlotte had to wait until Genshin Impact Version 4.2 to finally join the roster. Despite being a fairly popular character, Charlotte has yet to receive a banner re-run. Similar to Sayu, Charlotte is best used in a supportive role in most team compositions.
Third place is shared by two other support units: Gorou and Mika. Since his arrival, Gorou has been a must-have support character for mono-Geo team compositions, which are becoming increasingly popular. Gorou’s kit is filled with effects that rely on having multiple Geo users around him. Overall, the state of the Geo element in Genshin Impact has been improving with the release of new versatile five-star units such as Xilonen and Navia.
Despite being one of the most anticipated four-star units, Mika has struggled to find his place in the current meta. The main reason for this is likely that Mika is designed to support Genshin Impact‘s Physical team compositions, which used to be the go-to choice for many players, with DPS units such as Eula setting multiple DPS records. However, with the introduction of many new five-star units and the increased focus on elemental reactions, Physical damage is becoming less and less popular in the game.
