Monster Hunter is the very definition of ‘the bigger they are, the harder they fall.’ Thrusting you into the shoes of an avid adventurer, your job is pretty simple: hunt monsters. As the release of Monster Hunter Wilds approaches, Humble has a bundle with a huge $179 saving on the complete Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise games – a huge price cut worthy of the monstrous experiences on offer.
The Monster Hunter Wilds release date is almost here, and while I can’t be sure whether it’s one of the best PC games until it launches, if it’s anything like its predecessors Monster Hunter World and Rise, it probably will be. Despite offering similar goals, like hunting giant monsters that are progressively more challenging and using materials for better gear, they each retain a distinctive identity.
While Monster Hunter World gives you an authentic hunting experience, with a slow-paced build of tension towards the intense fights with your chosen target, Rise is quite different. You’re still taking down towering behemoths, but Rise’s Wirebugs grapple hook-style system is much more fast-paced, allowing you to pull off incredible stunts in smaller arenas. However, neither game will let you off easy, especially as you reach the endgame.
Personally, I prefer Rise’s faster pace and more action-focused combat, so it shouldn’t be a surprise considering we called it “the best Monster Hunter game to date” in our Monster Hunter Rise review. However, both games are incredible experiences, and World’s exploration is still exciting after years of playing. Both games are made even better by their respective expansions, with Rise’s Sunbreak and World’s Iceborne adding more essential content.
I was more than happy to pay full price for both games, and I’ll do the same when Wilds drops next month, but luckily you won’t have to. Humble’s latest bundle delivers the full experiences of Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise for just $25 / £19.64 – an impressive $179 / £146 saving. While you can go for cheaper bundles with less DLC, I’d strongly suggest going for the full bundle so you can fully experience the best RPGs right now.
However, you don’t have long to take advantage of this monstrous saving, as this deal ends on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 6pm PST / 9pm EST, or on Saturday, January 25 at 2am GMT / 3am CEST for our European hunters.
If you’re looking to build out your bestiary ahead of Wilds, here’s our list of all the currently known Monster Hunter Wilds monsters – you’ll probably recognize a few.
