Those seeking an excellent armor set for their melee-oriented allies should look for the Devourer Armor. Here’s where to find all of the pieces!

That being said there are some weapons that provide the wielder with so much power they should be considered regardless. Whether it is unique abilities, skill boosts, or impressive damage, here are some of the more powerful weapons in this RPG.

Updated on January 13, 2025 by Rhenn Taguiam: With Larian Studios declaring that its new game is an entirely new IP, fans of Divinity: Original 2 might be hoping this new game could at least be in some form or fashion related to Larian’s hit title. However, with no details released about their new title, fans could only wait for any hints from the acclaimed studio. Thankfully, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has just enough content to offer players with countless hours of gameplay, especially if they’re out to look for specific objectives such as finding the game’s best weapons. Among must-have armaments include a weapon accessible only when players choose to opt out of diplomacy in a situation, a powerful weapon from a fight in the endgame, and two surprisingly-decent armaments they can obtain from an NPC merchant.

When players of Divinity: Original Sin 2 embark on their journey to help their Godwoken unlock their latent potential by talking to important NPCs across Rivellon, they will realize one of their targets – Meistr Siva – is held captive and about to be executed by Executor Ninyan. Kind players might want to stop her execution and save her, especially if they manage to talk Ninyan out of it. However, doing so will make players miss out on one of the more decent weapons in the game: Executor Ninyan’s Axe.

Despite the straightforward nature of the item, Executor Ninyan’s Axe is only dropped by Ninyan when killed. Convincing her to leave Siva will make the item unattainable, giving players a small window to obtain it. On top of 5-6 Water Damage and 29-35 Physical Damage, the Two-Handed Axe has quite a lot of perks. On top of chances to set Chilled, Cripple, and Frozen, the item does add to Strength, Warfare, and Criticals – making this perfect for tanks who want to cleave opponents quickly with the occasional chance of stunning them.

It’s not uncommon for an RPG like Divinity: Original Sin 2 to offer opportunities for players to purchase items from NPCs, such as Trader Ovis in Driftwood Square. However, one must-have item from his arsenal would be Chamore Doran – a Wand that is the only weapon that offers a chance to set enemies to Sleep.

Moreover, the Wand does offer quite a lot of advantages to Spellcasters. Its +160% Critical Damage is immediately an incentive to pursue Glass Cannon and other critical builds. Not only that, the additional Intelligence, Summoning, and Aerotheurge can motivate stun-heavy plays that can cripple the opponent’s ranks when used properly.

Given how encounters in Divinity: Original Sin 2 can get difficult rather quickly, players not only have Hydrosophist healing Spells but also Life Steal to help sustain themselves on the battlefield. And for frontliners who don’t have the luxury to be able to self-heal amid combat, the Harrowblade is a Two-Handed Sword to solve such a problem.

Purchased from Quartermistress Anna in the Blackpits, this weapon grants a whopping 160% Critical Damage, making it perfect for heavy-hitting tanks focusing on crits. Not only that, but its 20% Chance to Set Burning and Suffocating can make the Harrowblade an effective weapon against powerful single-target foes. To top it all off, its 14% Life Steal is a godsend for tanks who often have to face the brunt of enemy assaults while the healer is busy healing the rest of the pack.

Moreover, the Wand’s bonus perk of summoning Cursed Fire when targeting terrain can ensure enemies are constantly damaged even when the user is not around. This can be extremely dangerous to any creature, as players can only put it out through Vaporize or through Wet or Chilled effects but only after Blessing it.
