The Nintendo Switch 2 may retail for €400 in Europe, according to a newly surfaced rumor. The source of this claim also shared some alleged details about the launch game lineup of Nintendo‘s next console.
The Switch 2 leaks have been everywhere since late 2024. The ongoing influx of unofficial info about the much-anticipated device is possibly a result of it reportedly starting mass production around late September or early October 2024. However, the majority of leaks that emerged since then have been focused on the console’s hardware.

One of the rising stars among leakers shares an alleged image of a Nintendo Switch 2 dock, complete with a pair of polar bears.
In contrast, one newly emerged rumor deals with the device’s supposed price and launch game lineup. Over on the fast-growing Nintendo Switch 2 Discord server, user DoNotDisturb has recently claimed that the upcoming console will be priced at €399 in Europe, citing an unnamed source at French retailer Micromania. Although this figure is on the lower end of the Switch 2 price range outlined in some other recent reports, it is in line with them.
Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Lineup May Include At Least 25 Games
The same source claims that Micromania has already received a list of Switch 2 launch titles, which supposedly consists of 25 games, with prices ranging from €69 to €79. Unlike many other major publishers, Nintendo hasn’t yet raised the prices of its new AAA games beyond $60 / €60, with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being the only exception to date. As such, the notion of every single Switch 2 launch game retailing for €69 or even more seems doubtful. For comparison, a €79 price tag would match the price of new AAA PS5 games in Europe. Game Rant’s review of Micromania’s current prices suggests that the French retailer doesn’t mark up (most of) its Switch games compared to its competitors, so there’s nothing to suggest it will start doing so with Switch 2 titles.
Even if DoNotDisturb’s information were accurate, it’s unclear if Micromania’s purported list of Switch 2 launch titles is complete. The same source also claimed that Nintendo Switch Online prices will increase with the arrival of the upcoming console. Nintendo recently confirmed that the Switch 2 will support NSO, but hasn’t mentioned anything in the way of pricing changes.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 Is Supposedly Getting a Sequel on the Switch 2
DoNotDisturb’s alleged Micromania source also seems to have hinted at Super Mario Galaxy 3 being a launch title for the Switch 2, on top of asserting that pre-orders for the device will open “really soon.” While the former is a bold claim, the latter is a fairly safe prediction, as Nintendo has twice now said the Switch 2 will be announced by March 31, so it stands to reason that the start of its pre-orders is on the horizon.
