The Halo games are nostalgic for many reasons, including the series’ assortment of military vehicles and aircraft. In addition to the well-known UNSC vehicles, like the Warthog and Mongoose, the Covenant in the Halo franchise feature many recognizable machines. These include dropships, which were seen early in the original Halo: Combat Evolved, with the Master Chief encountering them after crashlanding on the surface of the Halo ring. Over the years, the franchise has presented various versions of the Covenant dropship, but the first remains iconic to many in the game’s community.

In a collection of pictures, the player showed many angles of the design, revealing the incredible detail put into the piece. Halo Fan’s Custom Covenant Dropship

When sharing the finished creation on Reddit, Thekiller2468 revealed that they have been creating custom MEGA builds for over 10 years. According to the builder, the design for the Covenant Spirit was based primarily on the ones seen in 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved. However, they said some elements were influenced by the version seen in Halo Reach. To build the custom Covenant dropship, they used pieces from two official MEGA Needler sets, along with a He-Man sword. They said they also grabbed “any spare silver pieces” to finish the design. Unsurprisingly, the Halo community has found this creation stunning and has upvoted the post more than 3K times.

It is often exciting to see what creations the Halo community comes up with. Other fans have also showcased their love for the series through various fan projects, including artwork. For example, another gamer made a picture based on Halo Reach in MS Paint. Incredibly, they managed to pay homage to Noble Six in the piece of digital art, with the Spartan looking toward Mount Torott in the distance.

With players waiting to see what the future holds for the Halo franchise, it seems likely that more fan tributes to past games in the series will appear on the internet. Hopefully, whatever Halo Studios produces next will be able to capture some of the magic that made the original Bungie games so special to many fans.
