The Squid Game Event arrives in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, bringing with it an Event Pass filled with unique rewards.
Crossovers in Call of Duty have been a staple for quite a while now, but in recent years they have become increasingly common. For Black Ops 6 specifically, Call of Duty has partnered with Netflix to bring a variety of Squid Game characters into the game, along with a range of Squid Game-themed game modes. With Black Ops 6 seemingly pursuing collaborations with other franchises, here are some crossovers that need to happen.
1
Halo
A Likely Crossover Featuring Iconic Characters & Gamemodes
First up is a collaboration with 343 Industries’ Halo, a crossover that seems to be the most likely candidate for the next Black Ops 6 event. The Halo universe is no stranger to collaborations, as the Master Chief himself has crossed over into the world of Fortnite. However, with Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard and recent rumors of a potential collaboration between the two franchises, a Call of Duty and Halo crossover in Black Ops 6 may just happen in the near future.
Halo, with its militaristic focus on the UNSC’s battle against the Covenant and other alien foes, is a great match for a Black Ops 6 event. The range of characters—such as Master Chief and the Arbiter—could make for some iconic Operator skins, while legendary weapons like the Assault Rifle and the Energy Sword would make for excellent Weapon Blueprints. In terms of potential game modes, such a crossover could feature arena modes like Capture The Flag, popularized by Halo itself. For an even bigger twist, seeing the Flood in Multiplayer’s Infected or even Zombies could be a cool idea.
2
John Wick
The Feared Baba Yaga Could Make For Some Great Cosmetics
Next up is a collaboration with Lionsgate Films’ John Wick, another franchise that, like Halo, has already collaborated with Fortnite but seems like a perfect fit for Black Ops 6. While the movies focus on a former hitman’s quest for revenge, John Wick’s brutal action and intense firefight scenes could inspire some exciting additions to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Warzone.
In terms of cosmetics, a Black Ops 6 x John Wick crossover would obviously feature the Baba Yaga himself, complete with a finishing move where players eliminate opponents using nothing more than a pencil. If Activision chose to introduce an Event Pass for this crossover, it could also include free weapons like the Benelli M2 Super 90 Shotgun, one of John Wick’s trusted sidearms, or even a pencil melee weapon for melee lovers.
3
The Mandalorian
Could Allow For Sci-Fi-Themed Weapons, Maps, & Operators
The Star Wars universe is vast, to say the least, encompassing three mainline trilogies alongside several series that explore the stories of other characters. A Star Wars collaboration is certainly an awesome idea for those wanting a more sci-fi touch in Black Ops 6, with a crossover featuring The Mandalorian serving as an ideal candidate for a future event.
A potential Black Ops 6 x The Mandalorian crossover has some great potential, especially for an event boasting its own unique rewards. Such an event could introduce The Mandalorian himself as an available Operator, along with iconic weapons like the Darksaber and the Amban Sniper Rifle, either as standalone weapons or Blueprints for existing ones. Additionally, the event could feature Star Wars-themed map variants, such as Scud or other desert locations being reskinned to represent iconic spots on Tatooine.
4
Die Hard
A Returning Crossover That Has Some Serious Potential
Die Hard has crossed over with Call of Duty before, with Detective John McClane entering the Black Ops: Cold War store as a playable Operator, available for use in Multiplayer and Warzone. However, with the original Warzone shutting down in 2023, and none of Cold War’s Operators carrying over to Black Ops 6, it might be time for another Die Hard crossover—this time as a free event.

A Die Hard event holds significant potential for exciting rewards, notably by bringing back John McClane as an Operator, this time as a free Mastery Reward. The event could also introduce new weapons, such as the Steyr AUG and other firearms featured in the series. Regarding game modes, the event could also revive the scrapped Die Hard mode from Modern Warfare 2, or even Die Hardpoint from Black Ops: Cold War.
5
Terminator
Could Offer a Unique Game Mode Along With Some Exciting Cosmetics
Die Hard is definitely a worthy candidate for a potential collaboration with Black Ops 6, as it complements the period in which the game is set. However, another franchise that fits quite well is the Terminator franchise, which, much like the previous entries, provides ample room for unique cosmetics and rewards. A Terminator x Black Ops 6 collaboration would make for an exciting event, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic T-800 as an Operator, specifically sporting the look from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
The event could also include the T-1000 as one of its rewards, along with a selection of unique Weapon Blueprints. As far as potential game modes go, an Among Us-style mode could be implemented, where players must identify and eliminate a shapeshifting T-1000 hiding among their ranks. Penalties could be introduced for mistakenly eliminating a teammate, while the T-1000’s goal is to simply eliminate everyone else to achieve victory.
6
Mission: Impossible
Could Lead To The Revival Of Vehicle Cosmetics
Continuing the trend of iconic movie franchises is a crossover with Mission: Impossible, a perfect fit for Black Ops 6’s overall 90s spy-thriller theme. Naturally, a Mission: Impossible crossover could lead to an exciting event featuring a playable Operator like Ethan Hunt, along with other additions such as Weapon Blueprints. However, a Mission: Impossible-themed event could also bring back vehicle cosmetics in a big way.
While vehicle cosmetics may not be usable within Black Ops 6 itself, a Mission: Impossible event could introduce iconic vehicles for players to equip in Warzone. Some examples of vehicles the event might feature include the BMW 316i, the Porsche 911 Convertible, and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, all iconic rides from the franchise. Beyond cosmetics, the event could also reintroduce the Heist game mode from Black Ops 4, where players had to either eliminate the opposing team or successfully grab and extract cash to secure the win.
7
DOOM
A Perfect Fit For The Haunting Event
Next up is DOOM, a crossover that has already been rumored to happen sometime during Black Ops 6’s lifecycle. While DOOM could be an exciting addition in future seasons, perhaps the perfect time for such a crossover event would be the annual spooky-themed event for Halloween: The Haunting. A potential DOOM crossover would be a perfect match for this event, either by introducing Doomguy as a playable Operator or adding unique DOOM-themed map variants to Black Ops 6.
The event could also see the return of the DOOM Tracer Pack for Warzone, or even the introduction of the iconic Double Barrel Shotgun for use in Black Ops 6. Alongside the usual additions with The Haunting, like Zombie Royale for Warzone, the event could also include challenging bosses, similar to those featured in Modern Warfare 2’s event. Some of the Warzone bosses could even be popular demons from the DOOM franchise.
A Suitable Event Introducing Weapons & Operators
Last but not least is Metal Gear Solid, a series that could make for an excellent crossover in Black Ops 6. While Metal Gear Solid has collaborated with other franchises before—most notably Super Smash Bros. and Fortnite—a crossover with Call of Duty is practically unheard of. However, if done right, a Metal Gear Solid collaboration could be an exciting addition to a future Black Ops 6 event.

Such an event would, of course, need to feature Solid Snake as a playable Operator, a character who would fit seamlessly alongside many of the other available skins in Black Ops 6.
