The Best Weapons In Palworld: Feybreak

Nearly a year after Palworld made its official debut, developer Pocketpair breathed new life into its monster-taming video game with a massive update called Feybreak, introducing a new island to the title along with plenty of additional features. Aside from fresh game modes and other additions, Pocketpair also introduced a plethora of new weapons to keep its title fresh and provide you with various options to tackle different situations.

Of course, some of these newly added weapons stand out the most thanks to the kind of damage that they inflict upon enemies and their overall effectiveness in combat.

Old Revolver

Old Revolver in Palworld: Feybreak.

The Old Revolver may not be the greatest new weapon to be introduced in Palworld, but it fares much better than many of the other early to mid-game guns that Pocketpair has put on the table in Feybreak. Not only does it come with a lot more damage than its counterparts like the Makeshift Assault Rifle, but it is also light enough to wield while you are running around and trying to get out of tricky scenarios.

Unfortunately, acquiring it and its ammo can prove to be a bit of a hassle, as the Technology Level that it is available at can force you to grind much more than you should have to for a relatively ineffective weapon like the Old Revolver.

Makeshift SMG

You would think that an early game weapon, and that too its Makeshift variant, would not be strong enough to get you through any of the enemies that you encounter, but the Makeshift SMG arrives in Feybreak to prove you wrong. Easy to acquire and equipped with more than enough damage to help you survive early in Palworld, the Makeshift SMG is a weapon that even manages to rival its higher-level SMG variant in terms of damage, falling just a little short.

Thankfully, its firing rate makes up for that loss in damage, and considering that it only requires Coarse Ammo to use, it is a highly convenient weapon that you can stick with for quite some time.

Don’t waste your time and effort on getting the other Makeshift additions in Feybreak; the Makeshift SMG is all that you need from that category.

Semi-Auto Rifle

If you are the kind of player who does not want to look for resources and put effort into crafting ammo but naturally wants it to come with high-damage abilities, then the Semi-Auto Rifle is the weapon for you. All you have to do is have enough money on you to purchase the ammo, and you have an effective weapon that can tear through Pals at almost every level.

It is also much more powerful than its Semi-Auto Shotgun counterpart unlocked at a later level, making it a great mid-game weapon with a decent firing rate to help you survive in critical situations.

Compound Bow

Compound Bow in Palworld: Feybreak.

The most welcome additions that Pocketpair has made to Palworld in Feybreak are a couple of bows that are not just there to fill up the weapon roster but actually come with productivity in battle. This is why when you acquire the Compound Bow at an early level, and it rivals the damage inflicted by hardcore weapons like the Semi-Auto Rifle, you can’t help but be pleasantly surprised at just how much more effective a bow can be in combat.

You can use the Compound Bow in more ways than one, which includes charging it up to its full potential for maximum damage or chipping away at the enemy’s health in short bursts.

Laser Gatling Gun

If you are a fan of the Gatling Gun that was already available in Palworld, you are in for a treat with the Laser Gatling Gun in Feybreak, which unleashes a constant ray of offense on the enemy without giving them much time to breathe. It comes with quite a lot of damage, especially when compared to the majority of other ranged weapons that Pocketpair added in the DLC.

The only trade-off is that it can sometimes prove to be a little inaccurate once you start to continuously fire at the opponent, but the high damage thankfully makes up for that, making the enemy unable to react too quickly.

3

Advanced Bow

If you thought that the Compound Bow was the only new weapon to break the curse of the bows in Palworld, you will absolutely love the Advanced Bow, which has the potential to become your go-to weapon even with so many guns in your arsenal. Charging it up and hitting any Pal at any level with a headshot results in an instant kill more often than not, as the weapon comes with some of the highest damage stats out of all the new additions.

Just try to make sure that you are not positioned too far from the enemy, which could hinder its damage output, but once you are close enough at a safe distance, the Advanced Bow will ensure your victory almost every single time.

2

Meowmere

Meowmere in Palworld: Feybreak.

While the blades that Pocketpair introduced in Feybreak are not exactly up to par in terms of their performance in combat, the Meowmere stands out as a highlight in that weapon category. Serving as the beginning of a collaboration with Terraria, the Meowmere is not just a melee weapon but can also be used as a ranged one, depending on the circumstances.

It is a sword that lives up to its name by throwing cats towards the enemy as they meow on the way, making it the most versatile weapon that Palworld has received so far with plenty of damage up its sleeve.

The Katana doesn’t do much damage, whereas the Beam Sword comes with an animation that makes its accuracy quite horrible, which is why the Meowmere is the best new blade in the game.

Plasma Cannon

Plasma Cannon in Palworld: Feybreak.

When it comes to damage output, there are not many weapons in Palworld that can rival the likes of the Plasma Cannon, a new addition in Feybreak that gives the rest of your arsenal a run for its money. With the Plasma Cannon by your side, you do not have to worry about any enemy type that you encounter, as it can almost always melt through them without any issues.

The only catch is that you have to reach a very high level to make the acquisition process easier for yourself, but once you unlock and equip it, you will become a force to be reckoned with in Feybreak.
