Honkai: Star Rail is teasing new character Castorice with a special video, potentially showing off some animations for the Amphoreus character following her debut. With just a few days remaining until the launch of the sci-fi RPG’s fourth playable world, HoYoverse has given fans plenty to look forward to from Amphoreus. The world’s debut patch will bring one of the game’s most long-awaited character releases, with The Herta joining as Herta’s true form, while the developer has shown off several future characters as well. Now, one popular member of Amphoreus’ cast is being teased by HoYoverse.
Much like the lead-up to Penacony’s launch last year, Honkai: Star Rail has teased plenty of characters set to appear as part of the Amphoreus main cast. The world’s lineup of characters includes multiple parallels to Honkai Impact 3rd‘s “Flame-Chasers,” with Star Rail versions of fan-favorites like Kevin and Elysia on the way. HoYoverse has even already teased the new characters coming in Version 3.1, with Mydei and Tribbie joining in Amphoreus’ first post-launch update. A new video is now teasing one of the world’s most highly-anticipated characters.

The video also shows the dragon firing a powerful breath attack at an enemy, with some fans speculating that the attack could be part of Castorice’s gameplay. Castorice’s role within Honkai: Star Rail is expected to follow Amphoreus’ heavy theming on Greek and Roman mythology, with Castorice potentially representing the god of death. Multiple characters within Amphoreus’ initial cast feature references to different Greek gods, including Mydei’s inspiration from Deimos and Tribbie potentially being based on Hecate. The world’s “Titans” also bear resemblance to the pantheon of gods from Greek mythology, with Star Rail‘s “Chrysos Heirs” acting as agents of the Titans. Amphoreus will launch on January 15 with Honkai: Star Rail‘s Version 3.0.
