Lilith

Lilith’s action skill allows her to enter into invisibility, where she will have an increased speed to allow her to quickly get through enemies and flank behind them for some lethal damage. This is already great for the first Borderlands game, as that increase in speed is going to help keep aggravation on enemies, and the late game is made even greater with the right skill investments to Lilith which will basically remove the cooldown of her phasewalk, permitting a constant speed boost and invisibility.

When invisible, it’s impossible to hit Lilith, which basically makes her invulnerable to all damage. While she doesn’t have the healing skills of other Vault Hunters, players are rarely going to get hit, and her elemental damage spread is going to win every fight, even if that comes at the cost of struggling with solo fights against bosses.

It’s no surprise that Athena is considered a rather OP character in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. After all, this is a character that has been trained to become an elite assassin. Now let loose, she is free to hunt anyone and everything, which is why her skill tree makes her a true monster on Pandora’s moon, where she can negate all damage with her shield before sending it right back at her attackers.

Even if players don’t want to focus on her shield and the melee potential she has, they’re still in for a literally shockingly good time, as her synergy with elemental damage will stack high enough to fry any enemy that will dare challenge her, no matter what boss and abundance of enemies appear.

Maya

A Siren That Uses a Cataclysm of Acid to Eradicate Enemies

While some might consider Maya a tad weaker, and a Vault Hunter that is mainly reserved for singling out enemies with her action skill, she can easily be considered one of the strongest out there thanks to her investments into Cataclysm and the Cloud Kill ability, which is like reigning acidic hellfire onto enemies to burn through them with ease.

Maya’s build is almost like a glass cannon, as for the most part, she doesn’t have the right tools to heal herself and stay in the fight against hordes of enemies, and she should mainly be reserved for pinching enemies and destroying them before they can even get a shot in, which is made all the more possible with DPS skills like Reaper to burn through the first half of those HP bars.

Krieg

A Psycho Bandit Who Can Become a Mutant Buzz Axe-Wielding God

For those who have always wanted to try out the thrills of being a bandit, and once more run around like the perfect citizen of Pandora by wielding a melee weapon, then Krieg is the character for them. As a melee character, Krieg can easily be seen as OP due to the right tools that commit to high damage outputs at a fast rate, and his ability to turn into a Badass Psycho will mutate him to provide him with full, almost unending health, more damage, and a repeatable action skill.

Krieg provides the fun part of being OP thanks to how easy it is to hack and slash through enemies without the necessity of high gear. However, at higher difficulties, players might be a tad too reliant on specific guns to remain impressive with their damage, and being locked into certain builds might throw a few people off.

Nisha

Auto aim, high damage beams, and dual-wielding make for a fun time for all, and one that can be strongly considered overpowered, especially since the right equipment pairings provide her with health for every kill.

Salvador

The Gunzerker Who Can Wield Two Guns at Once With Infinite Ammo

If players have ever wanted to walk into a game just to completely break it, then try out Salvador in Borderlands 2. His prime selling point is his Gunzerker action skill, which allows him to dual-wield any two weapons in his inventory. While most of his abilities are dependent on the weapons he wields, players who already have a Grog Nozzle in one hand, and something like a Lady Fist or a Harold in the other, will deal immense damage in the hundreds of thousands.

Salvador can get all his health back in a dual-wield stance, as well as regenerate ammo for his weapons while he is firing. Moze easily deals the most damage out of the Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters, and with her crowd control and satisfying mech that allows her to kill both in and out of the Iron Bear, she is a force to be reckoned with that players shouldn’t shy away from, especially in co-op where players can latch themselves to the mech for added support.
