It goes without saying that the world of Infinity Nikki is abundant in some of the most cutest and fluffiest crafting materials imaginable. It only makes the pursuit of those items all the more enticing for the game’s devoted player community, who continue to enjoy the game’s ongoing updates since its impressive launch in late 2024. However, some items can be more elusive than others, and you may need to journey far across Wishfield to find them.

One such item in Infinity Nikki that falls in that category is Hooded Feathers, which only come from one particular type of bird found deep in the woods. If you need to farm some of these feathers for your Wardrobe’s latest ensembles, you will need to know exactly where to find them.

How to Get Hooded Feather in Infinity Nikki

Infinity Nikki Reports Huge Earnings During First Month

Hooded Feathers are a particularly rare item in Infinity Nikki, primarily because they’re only found in one specific region of the game – the Wishing Woods. All regions in Wishfield are unlocked not only by exploration but also progressing the main story questline. To reach the Wishing Woods, you will need to fulfill those story quests up to Chapter 6, at which point you will gain a new ability necessary to physically enter the region.

Once you have full access to explore the Wishing Woods, you then need to find Hooded Owls, the creature that provides Hooded Feathers. Luckily, they’re not especially hard to spot as they’re large, tan-colored owl birds that are nearly half Nikki’s size. They can be found in a variety of spots throughout the Wishing Woods and as soon as your first arrival at the Wish Inspection Center, so you’ll likely have a hard time experiencing a shortage.

Hooded Owls can often be found on ground level, or perched on one of the many elevated platforms where Faewish Sprites reside. Even better, unlike other skiddish animals such as Longstockings, these particular birds will not flee, no matter how close you approach them in a regular outfit. Once you find one, make sure to have your Bye-Bye Dust ability oufit (or any of its fashionable alternatives) equipped. Once the blue brush icon appears above its head, groom the Hooded Owl and you will receive 1 x Hooded Feather in return, along with Grooming Insight.

If you have the appropriate nodes unlocked on your Heart of Infinity Grid, you can also earn Hooded Feather Essence and a bonus amount of Hooded Feathers and/or Grooming Insight. The nodes themselves, as seen above, are found on the north side of the Heart of Infinity Grid, and they don’t come cheap. The node that will unlock Hooded Feather Essence requires a minimum of 18,000 Grooming Insight, while the node that gives a chance of item and stat point bonuses will cost 25,000 Insight.

The grind to unlock those nodes will take considerable time, but rather try and groom every animal in sight you can visit the Realm of Nourishment and trade some of your daily Vital Energy and gathered grooming items for a boost in your Grooming Insight. This can help bridge the gap a lot more quickly, so you get access to every potential item for your efforts.

Also, remember that you can use your Map’s tracker to help pinpoint the location of every available Hooded Owl in the Wishing Woods. Simply open your Map, select the book icon in the bottom left corner, and your Collections menu will pop up.

Scroll down until you find the Hooded Feather option (it will be there if you’ve gathered at least one), and select it. Next, press ‘Track’ and the map will show you the nearest Hooded Owl location in the region, indicated by an orange circle (as seen above). ‘Precise Tracking’ can find every exact location of these owls at once, but you will need to gather enough Hooded Feathers to unlock this upgraded feature.

Also, remember that all groom nodes (ie – creatures) will reset approximately 24 hours after the time they are groomed (the V.1.2 update will change this to daily server time), so you will need to wait out that grace period before gathering more feathers or any other groomed items you need in Infinity Nikki.

While you’re in the Wishing Woods area, don’t forget to pay a visit to the Sovereign of Fresh east of the Grand Tree, to earn your Fresh Medal and amplify your reputation as the best stylist in Miraland.
