These Marvel Rivals characters possess a few handy crowd-control abilities that can help deal with big groups of enemies at once.
Snipers are a good way for players to engage in a fight from a distance, either by eliminating enemy teammates from afar while they are distracted or, in some cases, providing healing without needing to get into the fray. In some cases, snipers can be more deadly than a heavy hitter like Thor or the Hulk.

The Punisher
Nobody Is Surprised That Frank Is A Weapons Master
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 1/5
- First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #129
Armed to the teeth, as always with The Punisher, he wields a deadly assault rifle that can hit targets from far away. Especially if the target is a fellow sniper who decides to perch and forget to remain mobile, Frank will wipe them out as if he belongs in a first-person shooter. Even his secondary weapon, the shotgun, does not have a bad range for emergency sniping situations.
The Punisher’s long-range capabilities don’t stop there because he can also deploy and mount his armored turret, which can mow through any enemy in seconds, no matter how far they are. Finally, there is his ultimate ability, which grants him an exo-suit with dual gatling guns that can easily a whole team, even from far away.

Luna Snow
The Pop Star Can Heal And Damage From Any Range
- Class: Strategist
- Difficulty: 2/5
- First Appearance: Marvel Future Fight
Luna Snow can already be one of the most effective healers in the game thanks to her speed. However, a fact about her many tend to miss is her range, able to heal and attack from far back or close up, all with the same attack. This is ideal if she is low on health herself and needs to retreat since she has little to no options for self-healing.
The secondary attack allows Luna Snow to briefly freeze an opponent, but it doesn’t have as much range as her main attack. This has made her one of the best strategists in Marvel Rivals, balancing healing and damage for those who prefer to fight and support.

Squirrel Girl
That Slingshot Is As Unbeatable As She Is
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 1/5
- First Appearance: Marvel Super-Heroes #8 (Vol. 2)
Squirrel Girl has her trusty slingshot, which is an easy way to deceive newcomers to Marvel Rivals. They might suspect that Squirrel Girl has a limited range, but her explosive rounds can lob to nearly any distance as long as the reticle is on an opponent. Direct hits can do major damage, especially to other duelist characters.

The rest of her abilities do not help her in terms of distant enemies, but Squirrel Girl’s secondary attack keeps an opponent anchored in place, making them perfectly open for a slingshot attack or a use of her ultimate ability. To aid her sniper slinging attacks, Squirrel Girl can also leap high into the air, which can also confuse enemies if timed correctly.

Winter Soldier
At His Most Armed And Dangerous In More Ways Than One
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 2/5
- First Appearance: Captain America #6
It’s easy to assume that the Winter Soldier, armed only with a pistol, excels only at close range. However, his pistol functions more like a high-powered revolver, allowing him to hit targets from a distance and inflict significant damage as a duelist.
To help him, Winter Soldier also wields an electrical attack that can damage and slow opponents in its path. In the case of enemies like Iron Man and Storm, it deactivates their flight abilities for a brief period as well as slows them down; this opens them up to pistol or bionic arm attacks from Bucky.
4
Iron Man
Tony Stark Is At His Strongest In The Skies
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 2/5
- First Appearance: Tales Of Suspense #39
Already known for being one of the most overpowered characters in the game, Iron Man can hover high above the battlefield. The aerial position allows him to blast across the map with his repulsors and unibeam laser while avoiding enemy fire thanks to his increased mobility in the air.
On top of the range, Iron Man can upgrade his attacks to have increased explosive damage at the cost of attack speed. They still have the same range, however, which makes them even more deadly, so it is recommended that if an enemy Iron Man is in the air, players should do as much as possible to eliminate him.
3
Black Widow
Natasha Is Equipped With A Powerful Rifle
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 4/5
- First Appearance: Tales Of Suspense #52
Of all the characters, Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow, is the only one actually wielding a sniper rifle. Most Black Widow players take the time to perch somewhere high and far to pick off targets with care and precision, as her Red Room rifle is slow, but the damage output makes up for it, particularly with headshots.

The sniper rifle is not Black Widow’s only weapon, as she also wields a plasma rifle as her ultimate attack. A blast from it creates a decent amount of splash damage and then slows down any enemy it hurts, which can open them up to her sniper attacks. For close encounters, she also has Escrima sticks and a grapple hook.
2
Hawkeye
The Deadliest Archer In The Marvel Universe
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 4/5
- First Appearance: Tales Of Suspense #57
With his impeccable aim and trusty combat bow, Hawkeye is a deadly duelist with some of the highest damage in the game. One headshot is enough to eliminate most characters outside the Vanguard class, which can result in frustrating matches when he is on the other team. Newcomers should be warned to always pursue and eliminate him.
In the Marvel Rivals roster, several characters bear similarities to characters from Overwatch and Hawkeye is one of the more blatant. He shares the same ninja-like mobility and attacks combined with his archery combat as Hanzo, which will make it easy for longtime Overwatch players to adjust to Hawkeye.
1
Hela
The Goddess Of Death Lives Up To Her Title
- Class: Duelist
- Difficulty: 3/5
- First Appearance: Journey Into Mystery #102
Being the Goddess Of Death, it should be no surprise that Hela can destroy her foes in many ways, but her magic-based darts can travel across the map with pinpoint accuracy. On top of that, Hela’s dart attacks are some of the fastest projectiles in Marvel Rivals, making it harder for her enemies to dodge.
Hela, like Black Widow, can stun her enemies, and this ability complements her basic attacks well, proving just how strong she is. However, her health is a downside, making her relatively easy to eliminate. On the bright side, she can transform into a crow, allowing her to quickly escape.
