Sakamoto Days Will Have Two Cours

Like most new anime, Sakamoto Days has been divided into two cours. The first cour will start airing on January 11, 2025. Sakamoto Days’ second cour will be released in July 2025. According to reports, each cour will have 11 episodes, which means the anime will have 22 episodes in total.

Sakamoto Days anime is being produced by TMS Entertainment. Previously, the studio has worked on the following projects:

So, it’s clear that the studio has a great deal of experience when it comes to producing top-notch shows. Masaki Watanabe is directing the anime, while Taku Kishimoto is handling the scripts. Yō Moriyama is designing the characters, and Yuki Hayashi is composing the music for the anime. Hashire Sakamoto by Vaundy is the opening theme song, while Conton Candy’s Futsū is the ending song.

Sakamoto Days is written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. Before starting Sakamoto Days, Yuto Suzuki released a one-shot, which gave him the inspiration to go on. Sakamoto Days started serializing in Jump GIGA in December 2019 prior to being moved to the Weekly Shōnen Jump. Ultimately, it started serialization in November 2020.

Sakamoto Days has released 20 volumes, all of which have done well in terms of sales. In fact, it has been reported that Shueisha will be reprinting more copies of the manga so those who missed out on them initially will be able to get their hands on them. According to the sales data, Sakamoto Days has sold more than 7 million copies, which is highly impressive considering the anime hasn’t been released yet.
