The “final” trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days manga has revealed the series’ English dub cast ahead of its premiere. The anime broadcasts worldwide on Netflix on January 11, with new episodes coming out on Saturdays.
The anime has been slated for two cours, with the second one scheduled to air in July. The anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days was announced in May 2024 after rumors brewed regarding Netflix’s acquisition of the upcoming anime title, the source material of which has had very positive reception.

Sakamoto Days is an adaptation of Yuto Suzuki’s manga of the same name published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since November 2020, and collected into 20 volumes as of January 2025. The series is immensely popular, with 7 million copies currently in cirulation. The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a retired legendary hitman who has settled down and become a family man. However, his peaceful life is interrupted when his enemies and former colleagues start looking for him, some seeking revenge. To protect his family, Sakamoto must use his incredible combat abilities to stave off enemies while maintaining the facade of normalcy in his new life as the married owner of a convenience store.
The anime is produced by staff at TMS Entertainment (Fruits Basket 2019), with Masaki Watanabe (unit director, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero) serving as director, with series composition by Taku Kishimoto (series composition, Haikyuu!!), character design by Yō Moriyama (eyecatch design, Attack on Titan), sound design by Jin Aketagawa and music by My Hero Academia composer Yuki Hayashi. The Japanese cast of Sakamoto Days includes Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki, Gintama) as Tarō Sakamoto, Hina Kino (Hanako Honda, Asobi Asobase) as Hana Sakamoto, Nao Tōyama (Giselle Gewelle, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War) as Aoi Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki (Baki, Baki) as Shin Asakura and Ayane Sakura (Ochaco Uraraka, My Hero Academia) as Lu Shaotang.
