  • My Time at Sandrock limited beta test in China will feature 30 in-game days of content.
  • The PC and Console version, released back in 2023, got praised for its graphics and immersive gameplay.
  • While the beta is China-exclusive, we can expect mobile testing to follow suit.

My Time at Sandrock, the beloved farm-life sim RPG from Pathea Games, is expanding its reach with a mobile port set to begin a small-scale limited deletion beta test for Android devices in China for a day on January 23, 2025. The game, originally released in 2023 for consoles and PC, is known for its open-world, desert farming, and role-playing mechanics.

My Time at Sandrock has been a hit since release with positive reviews

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, My Time at Sandrock continues the narrative from My Time at Portia, taking place 300 years after the Day of Calamity. You will inherit Mason’s Workshop, a retired builder’s legacy, and explore the desert town of Sandrock, where you’ll meet new characters, engage in crafting, and battle bandits.

The game combines farm sim elements with RPG mechanics, where players can farm, build, and interact with the world. Released on November 2023 across PC and Console platforms, it is praised for its rich graphics and immersive world. At the time of writing, it has a rating of 9 on Steam, with positive reviews.

On January 23, 2025, My Time at Sandrock will kick off its small-scale deletion test in China for Android. During this beta phase, you’ll get to dive into 30 in-game days and explore content from the first 13 chapters, which seems plenty for a one-day test. The publishing in the region is handled by Conscience Studio. If you are from China, you can register for the test here, with recruitment open from January 10th to January 22nd, 2025.

While the beta test is currently exclusive to China, I think this could be the start of something much bigger. If the test goes well, it might pave the way for a global release of My Time at Sandrock on mobile. Even though the China test is handled by a different publisher, just like My Time at Portia, we can expect Pathea to introduce the game to mobile platforms.
