Dream Patrols are combat encounters that each present certain challenges for players to complete in Wuthering Waves. These are fairly easy to complete, but some, such as the Knight in a Storm one, can be a bit troublesome, especially if players can’t figure out how the patrols’ unique mechanics work.
The Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol is particularly puzzling. The enemy itself is easy to beat, but those who want to get all the chests for resources like Astrites and Monnaie in WuWa will want to complete all challenge objectives. Here’s what you need to do to ace this challenge.

How to Finish Dream Patrol: Knight in a Storm
You can find this Dream Patrol over at the Shores of Last Breath area in the Fagaceae Peninsula east of Ragunna City proper. The challenge is marked by a crossed swords icon on your map, and it should be visible once you activate the Resonance Nexus in the region. The fastest way to get there is to teleport to the nearby Tacet Field, the one that drops the new Sonata set for Carlotta builds. You won’t be able to reach this area until you finish the Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms quest.
The Questless Knight in this Dream Patrol encounter fights much like the rest of the ones in the rest of Rinascita, so you should have no problem beating it. The objectives for this fight are:
- Reach Battle Rank S for more than 10 seconds – Increase Battle Rank by performing perfect dodges, parries, and abilities (including Intro/Outro skills).
- Perform 3 Counterattacks that interrupt the knight’s weapon enhancement – Parry the knight’s attacks when its weapon is buffed.
- Immobilize an enemy with Resonance Liberation DMG – Use your character’s ultimate to stun the knight (deplete the white bar under its health bar).
Countering the Knight’s Enhanced Weapon
During the fight, the knight will summon three swords and selects one of them. When it does this, that means its weapon is currently enhanced. While enhanced, the knight will start doing aerial lunge attacks towards you — this is the best time to counter it. When the parry indicators over the knight overlap, hit it with one of your attacks to perform a successful counterattack. Do this three times to clear the challenge.
If you’re using Carlotta in WuWa, you can parry the knight’s attacks with her jump attack or any shot from rifles. Carlotta fires rifle shots while using her Resonance Liberation and whenever she has stacks of Molded Crystal (the crystal-shaped indicator next to her).
