The Positives of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Paths

Undoubtedly the best part of Star Paths is the opportunity for players to unlock free items. Like other kinds of battle passes, Star Paths do have a Premium track that players must purchase with Moonstones, Disney Dreamlight Valley’s premium currency. However, each Star Path contains on average thirteen or more free items.

The quality of Star Paths does vary from season to season. Some Star Paths are clogged with motifs as free items, leaving new furniture, clothing, companions, and Dream Styles for a Star Path’s Premium track. This truly is a case-by-case scenario, as Star Paths have begun to decrease the number of motifs in free items in the last few seasons.

One of the best Star Paths is the Frost and Fairies Star Path. As Disney Dreamlight Valley’s most recent Star Path, Frost and Fairies gives DDV players who choose either the normal or Premium track of the Star Path great benefits. Players who choose not to upgrade the Star Path will receive eight pieces of furniture upon completion, the largest amount of furniture items from a Star Path to date. Premium track players that finish the third bonus tier of the Frost and Fairies Star Path can earn the Enchanted Winter Cottage House Dream Style. This is the first time a House Dream Style has been included in a Star Path, showing that Gameloft is listening to player feedback and expanding Star Path rewards.

Star Paths Put Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans to Work

While these items are incredible, achieving them isn’t necessarily easy. Star Paths have great benefits, but earning those benefits takes a lot of hours grinding away in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first Star Path, the Pixar Fest Star Path, players had thirty different duties they could complete to earn tokens. The standard of three duties being available at a time, with six slots available for players who upgrade to a Premium Path, began with this Star Path and remains. However, the number of duties has increased from thirty to one hundred and ten in the Frost and Fairies Star Path. While the diversity in types of duties is certainly valuable, as it encourages different kinds of gameplay, completing a Star Path requires even more time in-game than before.

The number of tokens required to unlock rewards in Star Paths has also increased over the last few years since Disney Dreamlight Valley’s launch. Older Star Paths tended to price rewards between ten and fifty tokens, with variation depending upon the type of item. While this trend has continued in newer Star Paths, the price of more premium items fall outside this established price range by a high margin. For example, a Winter Crystal Gazebo in the Frost and Fairies Star Path costs a hundred tokens.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is clearly putting effort into the quality of items in Star Paths for both its normal and Premium tracks. Nevertheless, the work players have to put in for these items is a bit ludicrous. Hard work is simply the price of decorating Disney Dreamlight Valley.
